Silverjet Stops Flights As It Runs Out Of Cash

Now, the only question is..

How long until some other joker with more money than sense announces the start-up of an all FC/BC airline to cater to the upscale business traveler? An airline that will have no feed, no connections, and limited schedule. But, by god, this joker will know where Legend, and Maxjet, and EOS and Silverjet all went wrong.

Well, we'll see how long L'Avion lasts. I wouldn't call either Lufthansa or British Airways an airline with no feed, no connecting flights and limited schedule, would you?

A bit ironic that this comes just days after this Usatoday article:
http://www.usatoday.com/travel/flights/200...-airlines_N.htm

Like other business travelers, bluegrass music star Alison Krauss and her band were smitten by the charms of an all-business-class airline.
"The service and the food are amazing, and the seats are comfortable," says tour manager David Norman, who flew this month with the musicians on Silverjet from Newark to London for the start of a European tour with former Led Zeppelin lead singer Robert Plant. "There were only 100 seats, and Alison and others loved the women's-only bathroom."

Well, maybe we should teach BA a lesson or two and put some 56-seat, all F/C F100s on that route. The idea... trying to corner the premium TA market. Just who do they think they are?
