Wow, we had some IBT organizers in the hangar parking lot here at DFW about a week ago. Listening to them, one would think all was well and good at UAL. The guy didn't like my questions, especially the questions about the Teamsters UNDERFUNDED pension plans. I asked "why are the dues 2 1/2 X 1hr of pay vs 2 X 1hr of pay?" They use the extra money for a strike fund, and organizing was the answer. How many here, think any of these mega size airlines would ever be allowed to go on strike? Organizing? Really? As a dues payer, I would say something like that - should come out of the industry standard of 2 X 1hr of pay per month! I say piss on the Teamsters! Vote AMFA!
