Lee Moak of the Air Line Pilots Association told reporters that passenger airlines are still too vulnerable to fuel price spikes and other business conditions that threaten industry profitability.

USA320Pilot comments: I believe it is unlikely that US Airways can merge with another legacy carrier until the pilot seniority integration is complete. Most companies and thier labor groups would not want to merge with an airline that they cannot integrate with to obtain merger benefits.

Mergers suck for employees, always. Remeber the pilot eniority integration debacle is a result of a merger.

To tell you the truth I really don't think the UA thing is over . just my opinion. Nothing surprises me anymore.

Really? Still employed and collecting a paycheck, so what sucked so much? Granted things aren't what they once were, but that is pretty much the case with all of us in the Airline industry today. Most of us are earning what we did 20 years ago, but there are many worse options out there. Take it from someone who spent a few years on the street, the grass ain't much greener out there....
