The 10 Airbii being returned are being sent to Dublin, Ireland for repainting and configuration and are being leased to Germanwings. 726 is currently there.

Germanwings, a wholly owned subsidiary of EuroWings. EuroWings, of which Lufthansa owns 49% (at least last I checked). 4U is essentially Lufthansa's Ted, but they operate it as a standalone LCC.

When will USA320 be on here to tell us how perhaps this might lead to an investment in both UA and US by the Star Alliance with Lufthansa providing the financing to merge US/UA with US as the surviving entity, owned 24% by LH?

What???

U and LH are merging, and U will be the surviving entity???

Wow, that's big news! And I hear they'll open a 744 base in PIT.

It would have to be LGA since he does not fly in his own base.

Classic USA320 slam.. Loved it.

He will be on to tell us that the master plan for profitability is based on the company flying a mixed fleet of 737/Airbus/E170/757/767. This will ensure fleet flexiability and cross mixing of multiple crew types in the event of a single aircraft fleet shutdown to ensure maximum profits.

Ah USA320, JetBlue and Southwest fly one type of aircraft?

USA320 Responds - They do not know how to run an airline properly. We do!

Losing the Airbus in favor of keeping the elderly 737's and 757's makes no sense what so ever. It is GE protecting it's assets.. The future was the Airbus, Lakefield said it, Siegal said it, Wolf said it. USA320 said it as well. Now they are getting rid of the future and living in the past.

Dont get me wrong, the 737 and 757 are great planes but they are passing 20 years old now and starting to show their age.

726 was dumped in the first BK only to come back now she's gone again.. Sad.

Oh and you know what? That would make the new US Airways group the world's largest airline! And the latest I hear is that the 744 base in PIT would give way to PIT being the base of the A380s that LH has on order. But then again, the new US Airways group would probably defer those orders so that they can take delivery of more E170s, helping to acheive a CASM lower than WN/FL but higher than jetBlue.

Not defending our favorite Captain but, do you realize how ridiculous you guys sound? Your probably the graffiti Kings of the pristine USAirways facilities too.

That's exactly the point. Someone has become so uncannily predictable that everyone has got it down to a science; a living, breathing internet forum cliché.

This is just part of the pilot group concessions I spoke of previously. The pilot group will have to give more concessions and need too.
