When will USA320 be on here to tell us how perhaps this might lead to an investment in both UA and US by the Star Alliance with Lufthansa providing the financing to merge US/UA with US as the surviving entity, owned 24% by LH?

Oh and you know what? That would make the new US Airways group the world's largest airline! And the latest I hear is that the 744 base in PIT would give way to PIT being the base of the A380s that LH has on order. But then again, the new US Airways group would probably defer those orders so that they can take delivery of more E170s, helping to acheive a CASM lower than WN/FL but higher than jetBlue.Bear96 said:What???

Wow, that's big news! And I hear they'll open a 744 base in PIT.
