1970: Heathrow welcomes first 'jumbo jet'

Interesting article in the BBC regarding the maiden arrival of the first 747 at Heathrow. Article mentions technical glitches and problems that occurred in the early days of the 747--something that I've long forgotten.

I wonder how many 747 arrivals and departures have taken place at Heathrow since then! That must be mind boggling!
