I've heard 39 to 42 MD80's will cross the fence in 2003. I intend to cross with them.

Given that there are 30 767-200 and about half are ER's, you would have to guess the parking is the older non ER planes. AA has now has 767 since 1983, so these 762 are getting old. I think this is the beginning of retirements of both the MD-80 and 762 fleets. With so many of these planes in the fleet MD-80's, will still be around for 10 years may be more.

Mike says: The most junior STL based flight attendants occuaptional seniority, is April 10,2001. The March 8 1986 was time built at TW, not AA.

Can't you folks get over this AA/LLC thing already.....its becoming as bad as the Gore/Bush debate. It is done, it will not change, all must live with it. I am an outsider looking at it from 14 yrs in the future. US and Piedmont 1988.....In 2002 there are still people who are pissing and moaning about that merger. They have been at it for 14 yrs and nothing changed! You would do well to concentrate on keeping your airline alive rather than fighting a civil war. TWA is gone...it will never return. With a little luck maybe everyone will be called back before too many years. Remember, You guys are in better shape than most.....I would work on keeping it that way!!

Yea ..yea I know butt-out and mind my own business!!

Did USAir staple the Piedmont FA's?

MK

I think we all get it.....you don't like the staple. I don't think your going to change anyones mind about it by reminding everyone about on every thread. Yes the TWA f/a's were stapled....it was decided by the majority of the AA f/a's. You can carry on about it the rest of your life or get on with things. When I posted earlier about the additional 420 f/a's on furlough, I was trying to get across that you all are part of us now. We really need to stop bashing each other with this and move on.

[P]----------------[/P][/BLOCKQUOTE]We'll be sure to remember this statement after the judge decides what is fair and equitable. When this whole mess is finally decided by a [STRONG]neutral third party[/STRONG], I--and I would imagine most other TWA people--will then be willing to move on, whatever the outcome. [BR][BR]Can you say the same?

OK TWAnr, seeing that you are not even a flight attendant. What could APFA have possibly done? The original overage was approx 1500 f/a's. By offering overage leaves and partnership flying they were able to reduce that number by over 1000. I don't want to see anyone on the street but I think we did pretty good.

Pan Am/Delta is the most recent case that the arbitrator will have compare the TWA/AA too. Very similar.

Save your money.......

[P]So if the judge rules against you, you will finally be satisfied?[/P]
[P]----------------[/P]
[P]Satisfied, no. What AA's unions have done to TWA's employees is flat out wrong. I'll never change my opinon on that. However, before you get all excited, I want to expand on my response a bit.[/P]
[P]All I've ever wanted to see is a neutral third party to decide this matter. There's a major conflict of interest when one side of the equation unilaterally determines what it considers to be fair and equitable. What really needs to occur is a neutral arbitrator to handle these matters. Absent that, the court system is another venue.[/P]
[P]If a neutral judge determines that what TWA received is, indeed, fair and equitable then I will accept that decision. It does not mean I'll be satisfied, but [STRONG]I will accept it[/STRONG].[/P]
[P]If this judge rules in favor of the TWA employees, will you be so gracious?[/P][/BLOCKQUOTE]
