I don't think they'd be using AeroTech as the employer.US has AMT'S jobs posted in PHL.

DL closed PHL during the 05 furlough. I haven't heard anything about it coming back. I do think there will be some hiring to replace those taking the early retirement. It looks like here in BOS we will be losing 5-6 mechanics. First there will be an internal job posting that nobody will be intrested in, and the they will look to the street for new mechanics. I know we still have a bunch of guys on furlough, but last summer we had to hire off the street.DAL Mech, I am wondering if Delta still has any mechanics on PHL?
I was emailed job opportunities for PHL.
Can't for the life of me know what major airline in PHL is/would be looking for 20 mechanics.

I wouldn't really read anything into that. We closed a few of our smaller bases at that time while they gutted most of the non hub stations.ps...funny how DL furloughed in '05 as NW got rid of their mechanics at the same time. Coinsidence or what?
You need help. When it comes time for the union representational vote for the combined rampers of DL/NW.........................WATCH and SEE........how fast TRICKY DICK(anderson) try's to INCLUDE the DGL or DLG(which is it anyway) rampers into the total vote numbers.
When DL rampers tried to unionize the ramp on there own, the "DLG" workers WERE NOT even close to being Included in the mainline vote count.
I WONDER why that was ????????????
DL rampers/F/A's,...................HATE the union all you want, SPIT on the ground at the mention of their name, if unionized, refuse to, or make it hard for the union to collect your dues $$$$, any of THAT is OK(in a union democracy).
BUT HEAR ME, AND HEAR ME WELL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just make sure that you HAVE THE "GD" UNION, if in case you ever need them !!!!!!!!!!
You have been Informed in a timely, concise manner !
You have .."ONE SHOT" at it...........................ONE lone bullet in your gun(DL F/A's will have 2),.........................MAKE DAM* SURE that you make that ONE bullet COUNT, because with this Industry, in the LONG turmoil that it is in now, and will be for some time to come,.......................................You DO NOT want to spend years..."hating yourself in the morning" !!
T H I N K !!!!!!
GSE, He only has a kid at NWA. Wait till you meet the rest of us my union brother. You need help.

Thanx bagboy,............but save your breath.
DL...KOOL AID "slurpers"(like GSE) are in for a rude awakening.
As for the ESE's, I don't ever expect them(IAM) to "break a sweat" trying to do the right thing by you guys.
BUT......and it's a big BUT.
This is an abnormal oppertunity for them, in that , if things go "fair and square",( meaning the IAM's legal team can expose Andersen.."WHEN" he tries to "cook the books" into a Non union win)...this will mean THOUSAND's of NEW DUE$ payers,............and THAT the IAM ...LOVES !!
As it stands now, The DL F/a's are about 99% sure of being Unionized by the 2nd vote, but as for the ESE's it will be much closer, and will require that the IAM be EXTREMELY VIGILANT.
Unfortunately the NW agents/rez, and AMT's are in a TOUGH situation !
The IAM, AMFA and the rest are not any better than the management of the airlines. They're in it for the money, just like everyone else and could not really give a rat's a_ _ how much you make or pay for benefits. Their main concern is to keep the union dues coming so they can keep lining their pockets !
The day's of the union are numbered, so go ahead and give them your hard earned cash, and just in case you haven't noticed ,all industries are in trouble and laying off ! Why would airlines be any different other than the fact they got there first !
BTW..............from what I've read , you don't even work for an airline !![]()
Southwind it's hard to know that people like you work with me at Delta. Your thoughts and way of thinking are troubling to our way of living. Who do you think sets the standard pay of airlines? Delta or Continental who are non union. How about Southwest or United who are union. Unions use the dues to hire lawyers to help in the negotiations of contracts. Companys have all the assest to hire their own attorneys. Who do you think is going to run out of money first? The IAM, AMFA and the rest are not any better than the management of the airlines. Go IAM
Live better vote UNION
LAX ramp
correct me if I'm wrong but I do beleive that Continental f/a's are union.
I'm speaking for the ramprats, thanks for the backup Kev. Delta rode the union's curtails for many years and as for Delta's pay it still falls short of United's and soon US air. I wouldn't start praising Delta yet and for the record it's not a raise it's a payback.correct me if I'm wrong but I do beleive that Continental f/a's are union. Also, as far as who sets pay scales: you can look at that both ways. Does DAL wait until the others sign contracts to give raises or do the other airlines wait for DAL to announce thier raises to negotiate up to what DAL is paying. Now I am of course refering to before 9/11, then everything changed.
