B6BB, you crack me up
😀 .
I'll be first to admit, I don't like Dave. I don't like his grandstanding, I don't like his ethics (especially after the current "accounting interpretations" that "saved the quarter"). Anything he does, I'll admittedly be seeing from my vantage point of disgust just as you guys see it from your vantage point that he's the new messiah.
"was on the ramp in 20 degree weather helping the ground crewmembers load the aircraft."
This is the part I thought was stupid. Is there a roll for the "sis boom bah" from a CEO to rally the troops? Absolutely. It should have happened at U when the PHL fiasco was going down. Same applies for swilling drinks and blu chips on the back of a jet. But to be on a ramp in 20 degree weather, in a dangerous enviroment (people die every year on the ramp) especially if he indeed has ADD as bad as he claims? That's just stupid. Was it important that he go to BOS to "straighten it out"? Maybe he figured his "star power" would fix the city, but if it truley took a visit from the CEO to fix BOS, you may need a new station manager. So the city piles snow by your gates? I guess that's why they were "available"....
"How about your career expectationsBusdrvr? You'll be lucky to have a job won't you?"
I don't know b6bb, my current compansation package exceeds a 1000 hour a year B6 Capt. I don't want your job. Never applied, never will. I just personally think given the level of training and education a pilot requires, it should pay more. You apparently don't. And don't give me the crap that one day Blu will pay more. The margins, despite creative accounting, are gone. RASM is going down, BIG. The legacies are matching pay rates and work rules to yours (instead of the other way around), and it will be a VERY next few years for EVERYONE (even you). Honestly, I don't have a horse in this race. I just think it's a bad thing that we never had the brains to band together to support wages and benefits this career deserves. Fly safe and good luck.
