What's new

500mil More?

Funny how that's just about what they wanted for their ATSB loan. Must be getting shunned terribly by outside investors.

FLY,

Last time I am going to tell you FLY, I resigned from UAL and gave up ANY recall rights to that S*$T hole. I made the decision for myself not UAL HELL. I had enough of their crap and figured out that it was a loser company after about 3 years of being employed there. And yes, from my experience UAL did have many long time worthless employees. I always found it amazing how many of them could come to work, drink coffee, bullshit for hours, and do god knows how many crossword puzzles. Then punch out and complain about what a long hard day it was working for such a SH!$Y employer

Wow, you sound a little bitter. I don't think I've heard UAL called a two-bit, s@*thole before. The high and mighty at "F9" speak. How long have those "new" frontier planes been flying? How many are there?
Let's see how things are over there in 75 years.
Yeah, right.
ps...where exactly are sharks found in CO?

Just friendly competition bigJ. And I go fishing at exotic locals for billfish mainly. Bruce is is just for the amuzement for my grandaughter. HEREEEEEEEEESSSSSSS BRUCEEEEEEE LOL. He would look cool on one of our Airbus tails though wouldn't HE?

38 Airbuses, recieveing our 39th one next month. Going to have 45 in the end 8 318's and 37 319's with options for 20+. We have 6 737's left that will be all retired next year. first airbus we got is going on 4 years old. Were doing OK, enough to still be a thorn in UniTED's side.

Hey I love friendly competition (I have two family members that work over there). It's just that "friendly" competition usually doesn't involve hurtful words, at least to people you don't know (I'm gonna cry!!!).
So anyway, Finding Nemo is a great adul..I mean kids movie. Shark on tail would be better than rabbit.
Still not quite sure UAL is "two-bit" in regards to F9. Maybe other things (like bully! heh, heh), but not two-bit.
What's the deal with the 318s? I thought if you're gonna fly it, the 319 wasn't that much more to operate. Is that why only 8?

Sorry for the two bit. Is two bit management better LOL. We here at F9 wish they'd all been 319's really. But the 318's are good on short haul routes.

Actually, minus two bit re: management would be correct. As for the 318, it often seems the 320 can compete with the 319, so I was wondering how the 318 was doing.

The 318 is a good aircraft for smaller markets. Maintenance wise it has quite a few different system features that are not compatible with the 319/320. Hence a few extra parts to store that we wouldn't use on the other aircraft.

We are recieving one more 318 and then the rest will be the 319. Never know with our new Flag Ship Status, maybe a 380 to Dener to Hawaii. What do ya think?
Vision here by 2008 we'll have almost a 65 to 70 airplane fleet operating here out of DIA. Not to far off from the old Frontier!

Kind of like America West flying 747's to Hawaii in the good ole' days of rapid expansion?
Actually, go ahead and try to fly Denver to Hawaii in the 380. It would help UAL for F9 to enter the islands market (bleed F9 resources).

bigJ,

We got a lot more here to accomplish in Denver first. As we add more aircraft and as UAL's situation deteriorates with each passing day in BK, who knows? The sky will be the limit for F9 here in the next 10 years as we continue our outstanding and dedicated service to the wonderful folks we fly.

Thanks for the laugh. Lets see, UAL continues to have great YOY revenue performance, FRNT's is collapsing. UAL announced an operating AND net profit for July, FRNT warns it will lose money during the busiest Q of the year. UAL has tons of assets to depreciate, FRNT, very little. FRNT announces it can't find enough markets to fly the jets it already owns (13% capacity cut...) yet is taking delivery of even more jets to park in that hanger you're so proud of. So it's a good thing to take delivery of jets you can't sell tickets for, pay the lease payments, and everything is peachy? LMMFAO!!! Then you taunt that UAL, who is now able to make a profit while FRNT can't, plans to cut MORE cost? And you will compete how? What a joke. I'm wondering if you'll display that "deer in the headlights" look when reality strikes.

Fish,

I think you struck a nerve with the Busdrvr. You need to be more gentle with him because he is furloughed and will probably never get his recall at United. He is bitter and hates Frontier worse than the evil himself, so please do not rub salt in his wounds. He will continue to spew his negativity toward your company faster than you can dish it out. BTW, I have enjoyed your posts for the most part but I think you need to lighten up on UAL a bit. Even though F9 is a great place to work where everyone is happy and they have a boat-load of cash in the bank with relatively low debt, keep in mind UAL once was in that position, and it could conceivably happen to anyone.

And what is really sweet, the $500 MIL and $655 MIL is outside of the pension grab!!!

What's that? $1.75 Billion?

You know, a million here and a million there eventually adds up to real money..........

😛 UT
[post="181669"][/post]

Bad math, Tech. Try again. <$1.25 Billion. You just "spilled more than $500 million".

Of course this management thing is easy. Anyone can do it.

OK CAPT,

I won't taunt Bus anymore! "But he started it", LOL. Everyone at Frontier truly has nothing to fear from a company that is on the verge of self-destruction. He keeps harping on about their 6M profits for JULY. Still hard for me to understand how they can lose 243M and still say that they made 6M they could put in the bank. And then he goes on about CAP cuts of 13% BLA, BLA, BLA. I wonder how much CAP was cut with all those 737 they are parking for good? And I still haven't seen UAL stats for AUG! Are they afraid to post them or maybe they are to embarrassed to post them.

Anyway, CAPT is right, I'll leave the UAL board and drop in once in a while when I need a good laugh. But then again CAPT I got 20 bucks riding on that hangar closing down before OCT 15th.

Bye All at UAL, enjoy YOUR RIDE!

It's all the traveling he's doing and eating that great food that you just can seem to find in your own grocery store.
