60 Mainline Jets?

US Airways has tried to do that with returning the airplane to the lessor, getting it checked and releasing, they have been busted at that game before and had to pay losts of money to the mechanic and related employees.
It should be fairly obvious to all that this management team doesn't care what's in the contract, and has little regard for the law in general. Ever since UAIR left chapter 11, where they were protected by their "bought and paid for" judge, They've lost EVERY decision in court. Just proves that they don't care what's right, they're gonna do it their way. If they DO attempt to bring some other entity here, or take UAIR's flying through some kind of "wet lease", I hope that labor stands their ground (for a change).

word out of PIT line and engine shop is they're setting up once again to match engine serial numbers back to original aircraft they came with on the 737's over the next month or so.
last time they did this they parked a group out in the desert and returned a bunch to the lessor.
SOMETHINGS UP.....
how's about if HE replaced a bunch of junk 37's with the same amount of aircraft,BUT with more seating capacity.....in effect HE has grown the airline ,right?
same planes, same headcount, same operating requirements......
WHO MENTIONED MISS CLEO?

Hows about if HE filed for BK again? Seems thats the only way HE knows how to run an airline.

if HE does it will be CH 7 per atsb loan requirements.

we best keep this under watchful eyes!

Remember the first time U filed for bankruptcy? It caught everyone by surprise. If bankruptcy is filed again it'll be done the same way, total secrecy. You'll find out about it either by word of mouth or the local news.

Once they do file you'll be escorted to your work station allowed to get your personal belongings and that'll be it. Hasta la vista baby!

I certainly hope U makes it but things arent looking to good.

Guys... if we go back into bankruptcy, Bronner looses his money. He's not gonna give up that easily. He may take us to Chapter 7, but I don't see another C-11 filing on the horizon.

atsb loan says no 11,only 7...then bronner gets in line for his money.

I think it would be fair to say that something is up. I think the flexiable leases in PIT are another indication. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed it will be something positive 😎 I guess the bottom line is ..... we will all get the BIG picture soon enough. Until then we all can continue analize the BIG picture

Just to add fuel to the fire 😛 You can get mid to late 90's models of the A320 for $140K to $180K a month right now....Airtran is paying that for the 4 A320's Ryan is operating for them. The average monthly lease on a CRJ is about the same...The average hourly operating cost of the A320 is about $500 more than a CRJ (50 seat model) dry....with the increase burn in fuel of the A320 you can add another couple of hundred dollars.....So for less than $1000 per block hour more in cost, you get an extra 100 seats......So tell me again why are RJ's the answer??? More seats available, means more profits!!! U needs more mainline jets!!!! It just makes more sense!!!

Don't know the answer there! Comair made over 42.0 million last year, and we made how much??????
They must be doing something right!

You cant compare a major airline to a "regional service provider". Its not brain surgery to buy a bunch of RJs and hire a slave-wage work force, and then have a major airline pay you to do thier flying. Of course Comair itself made money, as did Mesa, ACA etc. Would they make money if they were stand alone airlines that had to price, market, and manage a product? Probably not.

It doesnt matter how Comair itself is doing, how is thier parent company Delta doing? If Delta s&*t the bed so would Comair. Analysts are saying lately that DAL has placed too much reliance on regional jets, and they are losing alot of money.
