I have noticed that the last week or so, we have taken a 767 out of service for TWO DAYS at a time and it show OTS for CUSTOMER CARE/CLEANING. Are we actually starting to care about our A/C interiors? Are we starting to CARE about what our Customers Think?

Some of the "we" never stopped caring. Its about time those in charge and have the power to do whats right for the customer start to at least act like they care what our customers think... 😱

The title of the thread doesn't any sense...why use was the possessive used, 767's, and not the plural, 767s?

My point was it appears USAirways MANAGEMENT is actually starting to CARE about the appearance of our aircraft. Our Station recently had an audit by an appearance coordinator. Maybe just maybe they are starting to care.

Your comment doesn't "make" any sense either. Use care when being critical when you can't get it right yourself!

FOR REEEAALLL!!! What a jerk that guy Marco is, I hope to hell that none of us ever have to fly with that mess. NEVER anything productive of nice to say about anyone. Must have a really enjoyable home life.

Anyway back to the 67's, maybe they are starting to go in for their envoy "makeover". 2 days doesn't really seem long enough to overhaul envoy and redo the overheads to me though.

my dad said that the 767 has a pressurization seal problem or something and its in CLT MX right now.
since friday night

🙄 Yo teach, better check out your own posts before you edit another. Guess that was poetic justice!

So, the cleaning excuse is a ruse. How nice!

Another lie to deceive the flying public. I wonder when the truth will be put back into service. Maybe when the synergies are realized and the stars are aligned properly?

Or maybe it's for an inflight haunted house experience.

Easy now Rush fan. The "customer care" interior appearance deal was indeed performed on the 2 A/C so far, ( as well as lots of other mtc ) Not aware of any "pressure seal" problem, unless the issue was confused with another via 2nd, 3rd, or 4th hand info and morphed into it...ala Fish story.

the real question is....did you have the necessary parts to clean up the cabin items during this check or were there simply more deferrals placed on the aircraft?
It's easy to do the check, correcting problems found on the check is another issue.

And a follow-on "real question" is: After the two days of Customer Care care, is there any noticeable difference?

To answer the questiion on this tread, YES we are doing customer care checks, but it's not because upper management cares, it because the international schedule is in its fall session, meaning, the seasonal flights have ended and the A/C have more downtime. Generally this happens every year. Fly them all spring and summer, work on them all winter.

As far as the parts situation is concerned, we're still having difficulty receiving them. It seems that everything we need here in Philly is either in CLT,PHX or LAS. BUt we do manage to do the best we can. So give us a break, we're doing the best we can with what we got!

As for the new envoy class interiors, iI guess we'll just have to wait and see.
