AMR announced today that it had spent 856 million on legal, accountant and expert fees for bankruptcy. Had they not spent that AMR would have made a 49 million profit. Arent they asking for 1.25 billion from the work groups but they can spen 856 million.

Completely False. Either you or your source is wrong.

AMR "lost" $856 million in March, but nearly all of that was non-cash writedowns relating to rejection of leases.

Professional fees were $15 million of the $856 million. You can read AA's monthly operating report at:
