Anderson has a long way go to earn the respect that Jim had. Time will tell.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

It is SO obvious, "it's childs play"

THINK, long and hard, why Andersen was "catapulted" over long time conservative "NO mergers here" DL executives !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

For the pro union DL employees, just sit tight.
Even IF DL is the survivor, there are enough NW F/A's, AMT's and FSC's to guarantee that after "everyone gets to vote on representation, that the combined carrier is mostly union.

I'm not so sure about Agents/reservations.

In my opinion,...NO other carrier would be better in a consolidation.

I mean it's not like Andersen(ex NWA), and Steenland(current NWA) don't know each other !!

Whitehurst was loved by all, but let's face it: he was only 39 years old. Dougweiser at LCC has not exhibited sufficient mature behaviour at what - 45 - and no doubt the DL board was concerned that Jim Whitehurst was not yet old enough to run Delta.

Arpey at AA was only in his mid-40s when he took over at AA and he has shown immature moments as well. He simply doesn't have what it takes.

FWAA,

To whom were you referring as simply not, "having what it takes,":

DAL, Whitehurst, 39; or,
LCC, Dougweiser, 45; or,
AMR, Arpey, mid-40s.
