I am waiting for when this plane comes on board. Me and a friend are flying the first flight from PHL-SJU 6/8.

The question is, This plane only has EIGHT First Class/Envoy seats ?!???????

The hub is showing 8...that is a pity if true.

Not true . The a/c has 20 f/c -envoy seats. It will arrive onto the property tomorrow from tolouse. tail number N279AY

It looks like it's giving 757 seating numbers for the 332.

Imagine that!

I.T. screwing something up!

The other day Quik Shares had an E190 on the Philly to Milan flight. Or maybe that was just wishful thinking on Parker's pat.

i saw it on the ramp in Toulouse last week. Nice looking bird. Enjoy it guys....

This aircraft is running behind schedule for delivery by a few days. As we can see, the aircraft certainly didn't show up on property on the 21st. Anyone know the crew that flew it on it's Customer Acceptance flight last Saturday? Were there any problems with the frame?

Seeing how delayed it is. I had to go check to see if the aircraft was still planned for first rev flight on June 7th. Lo and behold it looks like the aircraft was downgraded until the 15th - runs one round tripper - takes a break and begins flying a line on the 18th. Which sounds more reasonable considering there is still no delivery routing up for 279 to fly home.

I'm very curious if it was decided that Envoy could be installed at the Factory prior to delivery vs sending it to BFM when it gets to the states.

No problems with the airplane. Suspect $$$. It will not have the new Envoy seats in it. Should be in Mobile Wednesday or Thursday for Envoy seat installation.

I don't think they needed it yet. Wonder what the interest on $100 million dollars is per day?

The seats were held up by the manufacturer. They are very nice pods. They could not deliver on time so instead of delaying the entire plane and TLV route they put the old seats in. They said once the 3rd one comes on October they will pull the first one off and have the pods installed and then the second. At least that's the company story.

Why are they sending to Singapore Aerospace Technologies in BFM instead of CLT where they AMTs are use to doing the mods to the plane before it goes into service?

Have to talk to the "Fighting Machinists" about that one!!!!! Not to worry though as there is always lots of overtime working on the "basket cases" that return from Mobile.

I had a 767 or something that returned from there. Flew to Europe and we were 5 min from canceling in Europe without a reroute. The 2nd VHS was not wired and made it to Europe. We had to have 2 VHS radios. Plus the PA sounded like Darth Vader. We finally got a flight plan that took us all over Gods Earth just by luck. Missed connections and the plane was taken out of service.

I give up. What is a VHS radio?

Something people use to call one another over the ocean? A long range something. Oh shut up. I was a history major what do you want? You're a pilot so I am sure you know. It's a radio you have use & the second is a backup or something to fly EOW. Yes No Maybe....?

Side note History says it's VHF... Big whooop. Unless we are over 30 West blah. There is some ice sheet we can glide in on.
