I have no idea if this is correct or even possible but I was told that they are putting 767 first class seats in the temporary Envoy cabin of the new 330-200s. Since all of the heavy maintenance is being done on the 767s in Mobile, maybe thats where the stocks are.

Interesting enough, most of those 76s. Had those Majesty seats installed at AvBorne in MIA.

I heard the Aircraft has hail damage in Hamburg and that is the reason for the delay. Any conformations?

Isn't the plane built in Toulouse and not Hamburg?

After an aircraft is assembled in France, it must first go to Hamburg to have the smell of the French aircraft assemblers removed. A tedious yet necessary process.

Your right. the A/C is in Toulouse. The crew is standing down until next week for ???

I'm still guessing $$$. We don't need it yet. It's not scheduled to fly a revenue trip until the middle of next month some time.

- sightseeing?
- coffee and croisants?
- a trip to the riveria
- the wine tasting tour of a lifetime
- a chance to enjoy french hospitality
- another factory tour?
- more sim training
- the desire to experience the romance of Paris.

an interview.

The delay was due to a hold up on financing. The financing finally did come through. The delivery crew has dispatched to Toulouse yesterday and I understand they will be taking delivery today or tomarrow. This is third hand information so its accuracy is in question until we see the airplane sitting on the ramp.

Yes, Widebodies are assembled and sprayed/finished in TLS. Narrowbodies are assembled in TLS flown to XFW and sprayed/finished there.
The final assembly line for the A321 is Hamburg.

This type of information can be found at www.airbus.com under the Corporate Information tab.

Last night, when departing CLT, there was a 330 on the MX ramp at 10:30. It was dark and I could not see the tail number. Could someone take a look when passing and let me know. I am curious as to if this is N279AY.

Thanks,
IW

IW 279 is still showing in TLS in Sabre. Looks like 276 RON'd in CLT last night.

This is all really starting to sound fishy. Financing? Hail damage? I thought 2 were to be delivered in May and yet here we are 1 day until the end of the month and about a month until TLV is supposed to begin, yet no aircraft on the ramp.....
