A330 grounded in Manchester UK

Well the plane is still flying, so it looks like the duct tape came in and all is well.

This thread reminds me of the one time in CLT a tug started rolling because the brake malfunctioned and hit a Dash-8 .We had to deplane everyone , ( back in the day when the D concourse was a bunch of portable buildings and we still gave out phone cards...) .anywhoo the Dash had this big hole in the back of the fuselage and people were on the payphones going OMG WE WERE JUST IN A PLANNEE CRASSHHHH!!!!

Some people are such drama queens. 🙄

270 is now in CLT base maintenance.
It is under going a engine change and also a landing gear change.
they had to order the tooling for it because it was all returned during BK.

You sure about 270 being in Clt? I have been told by those in the know that it is currently sitting in the Philly line mtc hangar awaiting an engine.....

Is the engine change somehow related to the rejected takeoff, or just a time-change thing? Any indications what caused the axle to fail?

Or, was the engine problem the thing that caused the reject, and the wheel tire issues a result of the abort? I have not heard anything about possible causes for this.
