Seems like AA is anxious for a deal by April 30 which the TWU contract is set to expire. They have suggested to the union negotiators to prepare for a marathon session.
My understanding is that they want a new contract in place for leverage in merger talks with CAL.

BOHICA

Continental seemed more to signal joining oneworld or others, not a merger. All indications point to a drawn out process. Besides the deals with the pilots and fa's are not in the equation...

So just VOTE YES! and be happy 🙂

Marathon session ?

Talking more than a few hours a day with weekends off.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
They want this done in 2 more days?

2 days? They have been talking since Novemeber 2007 and they know exactly what they took from us in 2003

Reliable source or rumor?

Local president stated thay the talks are in "elevated" mode beginning last week.

thank you hopeful.
Yes I realise they've been talking since November and I felt what was taken in 03'.
Hopefully the "elevated" process isn't too fast for em.
Wouldn't want em to overlook the pup pay outs this time 🙄
Or their trip to Hawaii with their families..courtesy of us

Of course AA wants a deal.

Marathon negotiations will lead to agreements with less than you deserve.

TWU/Little created the dealine, AA will use that deadline to their advantage.

Little is such a good puppet! No wonder the attempt to change unions was met with such a financial investment from AA.

Ah, NO SWEAT !

Probably...6.5%..over "6" YEARS.

HEY...they CAN do that Brother !!!

JESUS,

Imagine if they ever agreed to a COLA, for the lenght of the new Contract

(Think food/gas prices)

Well, we need to make sure all the "key" executives don't leave AMR for greener pastures so we just have to pay them....with perks...

As soon as the AA's unions sign on, the airline is going to make some $$$. So no more than a 3 year contract...maybe 4.
