Rusty, maybe that is the TWU version of the now acclaimed "Lets' Roll" statement by the heroes of United Flight over Pittsburg.

The TWU advocates must think that meant "Let's Roll Over"!!!!!!!!!!

Face it, there is NO FIGHT left in the Company Union nor the Industrial Union controlled AFL-CIO.

They are all dreaming about the good ol'e days and re-telling stories of the past, to make them think they are fighters, and willing take a stand.

Now is the time for all good and skilled union men to come to the aid of the Labor Movement.

Well if you look at the graph the trend started twenty years before 9-11.

The fact is that the Labor movement not only survived but thrived under far worse circumstances than 9-11. As tragic as it was, and we watched it right from the ramp of JFK and LGA, knew some of those who died and saw the funerals for months afterwards, 9-11 was a criminal act, a small scale cataclysm. Yes over 3000 people died, but over 90% escaped. Far less died than the in Union Carbide's Bhopal India (20,000 dead suspected of being a terrorist act in 1984) or the number of civilian casualties in Iraq, a country and people that were attacked as a result of 9-11 who had nothing to do with it. No I will not sit back and be made a victim of 9-11 by unscrupulous businessmen and corrupt union officials. 9-11 happened, it happened here, not in KC, we are getting over it, maybe you should too.

The fact is that even during WWII unions did not back off as much as they have over the last few years, and there is no doubt that the post WWII era ushered in a "new world". Working people did not give up 25% of their prewar gains. In fact in 1946 there were more strikes than ever before. Todays union leaders are writing letters telling their members to give concessions while they give themsel;ves raises. Complaining that the company has not proven shared sacrifice when they themselves have not sacrificed.

So if 9-11 did usher in a new world is there a place in it for real unions that will fight to improve living standards or just for self serving organizations like the TWU that give themselves raises while slowly lowering our wages and conditions to those in third world countries? Did 9-11 start the trend of concessions? NO the TWU started over twenty years ago.

I notice many of the MCI gang have gone quiet.

I wonder if they now know what the rest of us know?

DECISION 2004 WAS MISTAKE...I MEANT TO SAY 2007...MY BAD

When did you say 2004??? I thought the twu had been saying AMFA is just an Internet scheme!!! Perhaps you should go check with Luby on what to say next time!!!

2004, 2007, whatever, so long as this is the last TWU contract for M&R.

Whatever? What happened to that.."TWU is history" attitude? Hey Booby, what ya think of your amfa brothers voting to keep the SWA (IBT) contract? I see it as a positive move...HAHAHA! They know they'd lose their sorry butts with amfa...to late...sooner or later they have to pay the band!

NightWatch, if you will take a look at the line through in the SWA agreement, i think you will see SW is now AMFA.

Agreement between SW & AMFA

If anyone is wondering if AMFA will be back, all you need to do is look at the graph. AMFA will have their vote next year.

The last prediction I made was that we might be reading about some misfortune to CIO.

That one came true.

Mark my words, there will be an election next year.

To those who worked hard at getting the 9000+ cards dont be discouraged, remember what Thomas Paine said in "The American Crisis" December 19, 1776; What we obtain too cheap we esteem too lightly-Tis dearness only that gives every thing it's value.

So we wait another year, but we have gained the means to our goal.
