After 10 years Delta to end Pittsburgh to Paris non-stop

From the article: "Robert Mann, president of R.W. Mann & Co., an airline industry consultant, said the biggest culprit in Delta dropping the flight may be the Wow service from Pittsburgh."

I thought Wow Air had gone under?

Evidently not. Also, I can't believe that Delta couldn't compete. I realize that when they started the Pittsburgh-Paris flight it was the only way to go non-stop from Pittsburgh to anywhere in Europe. However, the days of 1 or 2 airlines have sole access to a route have been over for some time.
