ORLANDO, Fla. --(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 20, 2002--AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI - News), today announced that effective March 4, 2003, the nation''s second largest low-fare airline will add new daily nonstop service between Baltimore/Washington International Airport and Freeport International Airport on Grand Bahama Island. All flights to/from Grand Bahama Island will operate using new Boeing 717 aircraft. This will be the first service linking Grand Bahama Island to the nation''s capital.
