I heard a rumor in IND last week that UA will be moving over to share gates with U on the D concourse. That seems like a sensible move.
Can anyone confirm it?
Are there any similar rearrangements in the works? (SFO seems like a prime candidate...)

Wonder if that means anything for the west coast stations like LAX or SFO. That be a big change at LAX as the gates are situated right by the runways.

SAN is easy as the US gates are already next to the UA gates (gates 12 - 16).

In Seattle US will be moving our counters adjacent to UA and our gates to the North satelite which is almost all UA's gate area. Should happen in May or early fall.

I've noticed that inside the Attache' magazine the system map shows our hubs as

PHL,PIT,CLT,DEN,IAD,MIA,ORD,LAX,SFO...

We'll see.

Sorry they are listed as USAirways/United hubs with a "star". The airport diagrams are divided by the appropriate airline's name also.

UAL Exec:Company Mulling Hub Closures In Reorganization

DOW JONES NEWSWIRES

By Erik Ahlberg

Of Dow Jones Newswires
CHICAGO -- An executive for UAL Corp. (UAL) said Monday that the airline is mulling the closure of its hubs in Los Angeles, Denver and Washington as part of its reorganization plan.

Senior Vice President Gregory T. Taylor said in court testimony that UAL, parent of United Airlines, was asked by its board of directors to consider the hub closures as an alternative. The board also asked the company to look into the possible sale of the airline's Pacific operations, he said.

Lord, please, please say that this isn't true. I can't stand the satellite terminals at SEA and was looking forward to the new Concourse A for US.

Glanced at Hemispheres (UA's inflight mag) and U's hub maps are listed. Also...signs welcoming U are displayed in red carpet clubs.

It's nice to see both coming together. Haven't flown U yet through the code share...but looking forward to it!

They have already put the United and US Air counters together at BWI, and move both into the same concourse. Of course that is a reality of the construction.
