MEC CODE-A-PHONE UPDATE - March 25, 2005

This is Jack Stephan with a US Airways MEC update for Friday, March 25th, with two new items.

Item 1. During the past two weeks, your MEC Officers, Negotiating Committee, MDA liaison, and legal and representation staff and advisors have been evaluating the proposed agreement between Republic Airways Holdings and US Airways and its impact on the provisions of LOA 91. US Airways is scheduled to seek the court's approval for this agreement on March 31st. In advance of this court hearing, a special MEC meeting has been called in Pittsburgh for Wednesday, March 30, at 10 a.m. and will adjourn at 6 p.m., or at the completion of business.

The agenda for the meeting is a briefing from the Negotiating Committee, MEC Officers and advisors on LOA 91 and its relationship to potential MDA transactions.

The meeting will be held at the PIT Crowne Plaza, located at 1160 Thorn Run Road in Coraopolis, PA. The telephone number for transportation information to the hotel is 412-262-2400. All US Airways pilots are encouraged to attend the meeting. Please be advised that portions of the MEC meeting may be in closed session.

Item 2. On Tuesday, March 29th, the MEC officers, Negotiating Committee members, MDA pilots, and ALPA representation will be meeting with US Airways President and CEO Bruce Lakefield and other members of senior management to discuss the impact of the proposed agreement between Republic Airways Holdings and US Airways on MDA pilots and the provisions of LOA 91.

Please remember we have 1,879 pilots on furlough.

Thank you for listening.

Translation: we'll pitch the bottom end of the list (eg, MDA pilots) under the bus on Wednesday, after your MEC Chairmen sponsors a Canoe U get-together with Lakefield on Tuesday.

Needing a marine to represent the bottom half of the list at 11.
