The Association is forced by the companies action to let the members of the unions know what’s going on.
Pretty dam sad that it took the co. to spill the beans and "forced" the asso to start filling in the membership with details. They should have been informing the membership from the very first day. In writing co. passes unions passes and of course all the rebuttles that went with them like AMFA does so well to their members. And this is why you guys have such a divided membership with confusion and misinformation and now they (the asso) is going to be asking for support. Pathetic...

It's like reading our updates from 3 years-ago.
Yes, it does.
And they too are staring down the big outsourcing barrel just like we were. 35-50% increases in O/S for the AA side, up to 15% O/S of line maint internationally, these are huge asks. Not to mention the work they are 100% getting rid of.
I was wondering why the co. so quickly and easily agreed to offer and pay SWA's rates from the T/A that hasn't even been voted on yet, it's still just an offer to us.

What a great argument you make. Were you the guy who suggested AA take money away from PIT or were you one of the guys who clapped for it? It doesn’t matter, we can all see what type of person you are.

Dallas is only 20% higher cost of living then Tulsa.
And rising as we speak. In the last month my home value has gone up almost 20K and is still rising quickly.

I remember Swampy even when we were going back and forth everytime SWA emailed an update AMFA would say what the company proposed and what their counter offer was . Everyone knew where we stood regardless if it pissed us off or not.

And that’s what most of us want from the association if they would post both proposals counter proposals and let us know. But no they keep everything secret.

I remember when we were Teamsters, even though I liked them, and always thought we would maybe eventually catch UPS or close with our small group. It was,we will get them next time. I can honestly say with AMFA , it was alot more transparent. It's hard to make an intelligent decision, when you don't know , what your language changes are going to be. I understand a union is a business, and needs some growth. I personally know I won't be paid less for people that aren't even hired. Now I would take less to keep someone from losing their job, if all the other union groups were.

The association is getting played like a big bass fiddle!

Even the company is using the lack of unity in the association members to pit one union against the other.

It was the company's plan all along knowing they had the yes votes from the LAA side to pass a contract that was not concessionairy to THAT side of the equation. And that they would gain concessions from the LUS side.
Not providing the superior health insurance to ALL employees on the property shows they don't care about you or your family!

Bin Stretcher although it’s only a tiny snapshot and the only place a poll has been put up so far. The Company having the yes votes is not necessarily true.

I think the odds are more in the No category actually.

we dont have that problem. they just dont tell us much of anything, it would seem the membership is more of an inconvenience for the association. they would rather have rumors and half truths run rampant.

"our" representatives have no understanding of this concept.

a quote from a previous post. feel free to substitute association for teamsters. if the association had a shred of transparency and honesty it might be different
