It took 7 years...oh boy
Funny thing is, during that 7 years they still had the best benefits in the industry. Sure they fell behind in pay for a couple of years, but were on top for a the bulk of that 7. So, there's that.

Its an example inthinknyou know what i mean.We never had a contract company hand out vests and rain gear you would pick that up in admin.Me and another guy would take a company van go to BJS and buy cases of water and put it on a store room Do you know how much ot costs to have it delivered and a contract company stack itThat’s now a CWA Represented ENVOY function. It used to be the more expensive PSA that used to handle that.
And dont get me started on managers safety ,compliance and environmental in every station....indeedIts an example inthinknyou know what i mean.We never had a contract company hand out vests and rain gear you would pick that up in admin.Me and another guy would take a company van go to BJS and buy cases of water and put it on a store room Do you know how much ot costs to have it delivered and a contract company stack it

So if you were to sell a car you would start off with a high price weather you get are not. To leave room for negotiation. The union needs to ask more then market rate then negotiate of course the company will start lower. Then come some where in the middle. I don’t care if you agree are disagree with me. Al if we ever get a ta we all get one vote that works best for our situation. And like a holes everyone has a opinion. But since the association has not posted there proposals we have no clue to what there asking for. But I see from the company proposals what has been ta like field trips what did the association get to only settle for 1.75 instead of double let me guess that must be in the iam mechanics contract. That’s one the company and association agreed to. Been ta the association needs to post there proposals I’m sick and tired of being left in the dark. I bet I’m not the only one here that feels this way. Especially on the twu side.

The company showedtheir proposal it didnt say their final offer so he has a pointYou’re only in the dark because the glue you sniff from the brown paper bag leaves your brain unable to absorb anything anymore.
Hey I’m sitting in my car in front of Hobby Lobby. Do you need some more glue?

all i can do is control what i do. when i work an aircraft i have the paperwork in hand. i do something its documented. if we dont have the parts, whats the next step sir? i work I.A.W. thats all it takes. if we all just worked the way the company wants us to work, it will be fine. the easy way out is a cop out. They will never have a successful strategy that works until the Membership as a whole decides to get off their collective asses and do what they know needs to be done.
2 Dozen or so guys with titles on their desks aren’t going to be able to push the Company like 30,000 or 25% could.
dfw gen do you have any ideas what can be done successfully where the Membership can just sit back and do nothing eating popcorn?
Ah...the jobsi mention didnt raise headcount just another task and in some cases overtime was given. You know just cause a contact worker is getting 10 bucks per hour its it's likely AAis paying 25$ an hour for himAl if we went back far enough I can guarantee the TWU at AA did just as much of the work as you did. Go back far enough and everything would have been in house.
The disparity in what we get paid as opposed to the cost of subcontracting is what drives the Company to want more and more of it. And that’s just the facts.
Yes what 6k 7k less AMTS if AA had their work rules and im sure we would have less tooIf AA had always had the same Maintenance program that SWA had, Vortillon probably never would have found work here.
Back in those days and this is not me being a smart ass, everyone and there Brother was going to get their A & P to be an AMT.
It’s the other way around now.
