And for 5 of the 7 years twu mechanics were making way less then swa mechanics. And they had more holidays holiday pay and sick time .they even have triple time if swa mechanics ratifies there new contract that’s still a lot less time since we been in the 03 pay cut and 12 bk contract have surpassed there 7 years to get a contract. We been in a pay cut benefit work rule cut for over 16 years. And I’m tired of waiting for the association to get the lousy iampf that’s in the red zone. That I do not want any part of they need to stop holding us twu as hostages . And the raise in 16 brought us up where the other airlines were at.

If someone rubbed this guy’s tummy do you think he might fall asleep?

Hey Professor Gadget did you know that the Rampers at SWA for many years were also making much more in pay and benefits than we were as well. As a matter of fact they were making over $5.00 an hour more for awhile as I recall.

I wonder who was representing them? Oh wait a minute here, I know.

The Transport Workers Union of America.

(How the HELL can that be?)

You keep forgetting where you were .AA was the worse in every category before the merger and thats not even counting Eagles stats.I could go on about your TWU agreeing toa b scale changing our jobs forever. There is no point looking at the past ill go as far as saying your past sacrifices probably dont mean anything in the business world. Move forward and look at our competitors and be reasonable

Wanting the majority to decide and the TWU to lead the charge isn't unreasonable. And never in a million years would I say the TWU is perfect. But far and away better than two representatives. Look at the pilots and flight attendants unions. It's AA unions not 2 slugging it out

there is nothing that says if we vote something in we have to be happy and show it. we can still aim for the bottom...

Okay fair too, but we have to play the cards we were dealt. We probaby cant have an election and even if we could i cant see it getting a contract any faster. Can we do something like removing the executive committee?

I have 6 years left I’m ready to vote! Both unions suck! I’m tired of being screwed by the union. I pay union dues and they screw me. The company pays me, but if they screw me then it is easier to handle!!!!

Screw the ASSociation until I see the full text proposal from them. Also there had better be zero language about including LAA in the loser IAM pension. By the way I am still a no vote on the inadequate company proposal where is the back pay for holiday pay and sick pay and medical disparity between LAA and LUS since they are so concerned about compensating LUS for medical disparities. Oh and I want 7 weeks vacation just like United. Full back pay back to merger date. 15% 401K upfront match retiree medical similar to UA and Southwest. That enough for now but there’s more than that.

Would you like some fries with that?

I think his Santa Clause might be too fat to fit in the chimney much less slide down to eat the Milk and Cookies he left out for him.

Fat people should never ride ponies either. It’s very cruel.

On the USAir side the pension and medical needs to go so negotiations can resume. We need to get this all wrapped up. I'm sure the company will give on the outsourcing issues if the association moves on the pension and medical. Read a few posts back about how Sito is playing hard ball on those issues. He needs to let it go or remove himself. He is not doing the membership any good by dragging this on forever.

The Company is not going to move off the Scope asks for TWU folks if the IAM just gives up on whatever they have.

Hey maybe if we give up on our Scope the Company would give in to the Medical and IAMPF for IAM guys so they can get this all wrapped up?

Alex is playing hard ball on those issues. He needs to let it go or remove himself. He is not doing the Membership any good by dragging this on forever.

Yea like any of those guys are gonna “remove themselves” so some greedy ass putzes can get there’s.

your post proves my point exactly. a microcosm for whats been going on for years now. two supposed union leaders going in different directions and neither wants to give in. therefore, they should either separate, letting LAA keep their stations and negotiate solo for a contract and US can battle on their own for their medical, pension, catering etc. Or let the members decide on one rep. And we'll send a shop steward your way to help you so you don't have to "flip through cards"

I was mimicking the post that 1AA made which was absolute nonsense. Why some of you out there just can’t fathom that the TWU and the IAM are in the same corner fighting for the best contracts for ALL is mind boggling.

And if you listened to the Podcast since so many TWU guys grew a nutso obsession with the IAMNPF because of the continued ramblings of a kook, Tom Regan himself who is the IAM Lead Negotiator along with Sito Pantoja and Tim Klima said they are willing to exchange the Pension for a 10% 401K Contribution for all which is the Associations current ask.

CH, we always have had the T-time. We get it when we work on holidays other than our reg sched. shift. In other words we get the 2.5 times on our reg sched. shift, and then two more shifts at triple time if worked. Always had it, it's not IF we sign this current agreement.

Been saying that from day one. The infighting will never stop. Too many hard headed top leaders on both sides. Rather anyone wants to admit it or not, it does in fact still happen to this very day...

Like I said, too much in fighting for either side to compromise, hence the go around by the co. to the membership... Nego's 101, where you been???
