Rumor has it now that that last offer will have IAM Members continuing on with their current Medical plan percentages and TWU will remain at the 21% cost for at least the life of the new JCBA.

I’ve read a TON of contracts that have all sorts of disparities written in them. Of course this can be agreed to and sent out to us for a vote.

And if that’s what’s needed to get this thing wrapped up, it gets my thumbs up.

My thinking is this Weez... if they could agree to that with the medical, how about freight? How about Catering? What about synergies?

Perhaps those will be addressed in six?

Well here’s the reality. Lots of posters on here keep saying that the Company can’t do it because of the perception that other Union groups will have and they’ll want it also. Well I can see that if the TWU side gets the benefit they never had. But they really can’t say much if the status quo just carries on regarding the IAM.

Like I said I’m just passing on the rumor. Forums is loaded up to death with rumors, what’s one more going to matter?

lol ok AA if you say so. You should read some Contracts out there. And I’m not just talking Airlines. Plenty of Contracts have different Medical Costs for certain members. Usually it’s for a second tier or PTer’s though admittedly. But it does exist.

TWU side doesn’t currently have the better medical so we have the bigger difficulty to make the argument to capture it for us.

Not the same though for the IAM who have had that Medical going back many many years now.

it appears that they are obsessed with me. Why are they so obsessed with someone that they claim has no credibility is beyond me other than fear. While I cant say for sure that there will in fact be a new intl vote, if there isnt, there will be raids on most iam properties and organizing drives. The members deserve better than madness.
As an aside, a lawsuit was filed in federal court on friday over Sitos new ratification timeline of his gosh awful ta for the stews at expressjet
