American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

You are a big shot with the IAM the IAMPF desperately needs members. You at least try to keep the members you have.Conspiracy or just good old common sense
the company is making a big deal about it because it stands to risk millions more if it stays in it. When Martinez went to Capital Hill, he asked for contributing employers to insure more. Remember, multi employer guarantees by the pbgc are NOT publicly funded but the funding is paid by the contributing employers.
Since the plan is officially projected critical status, we shouldnt be surprised that American wants out.
Sitos interest are duty bound to United Airlines which is the biggest contributer.

Thank you for clearing it up. Unfortunately we ended up in mediation over this issue and the medical thanks to the IAM. At least for my group.

We have reached the point of being in Section 6 mainly due to Scope which in reality is currently more of a TWU issue when it comes to the AMT and related groups.

TWU President’s Danker, Peterson and Reeves were not going to accept the offer the Company was proposing as it would mean the future loss of thousands of positions for work.

BTW work brings in dues revenue and provides more overall security and seniority opportunities whereas Medical expenses and Retirement contributions do not.

🙂

Just to be clear here since you claim that the IAMNPF (That’s the “NATIONAL” Pension fund BTW) is “officially projected in critical status” can you provide any proof to who exactly (besides yourself) made this claim?

Granted yes the IAMNPF funding percentage has been dropping year over year and perhaps without adjustments could fall out of the Green Zone Status eventually?

Time will tell?

Weez... as usual... he is lying...

The IAMNPF is actually "Green Zone" with funding that surpasses most comparable plans...

(This how, and why, Weez exfoliates more credibility than he has ever amassed)...

well, Parker's sidekick has allowed Sito to stay on the board. this might mean, there's still a lot more going on and that sito is much too involved in the negoiations with Iam's own interests. This is why I think the walls need to be built around us. Twu board is full of Weasles right now, and some may not even know it. When weasles starts with the pension is 62 percent funded, you know something's up, and the direction will become clear. Anyway, this week will be a nothing burger, and twu picketing hq is stupid. Picket the twu, make the twu great again by demanding the iam to stuff it, and tell the twu board you want a contract. . dfw and tul chamber of commerce and airport commissions will be on this too. apa too, will probably support us. Texas and Aal are one, and should be. Keep the mx jobs in Texas, lax and mia. Don't mess with Texas.

Iam can deal with their own ****. Be done with them.

Tim the posting I made was regarding my own Defined Benefit Pension at AA which has nothing to do with you. I posted a found recently posted elsewhere article as a warning that this Company needs to fund our LAA Pension much better than they currently are.

That posting was not a que for you to trot out your gas bag wind on your IAMNPF which has ZERO bearing on my DBP.

that's good for you guys. so keep it, leave us out of it. let us have our 401k match and contribution.
Rest easy -- You can bet that the majority aggregate of the entire combined membership will consult you personally before deciding...

Stop lying. And stop talking about maintenance as thats not your group and you dont have any clue what you are talking about. Your fake predictions are one thing but claiming that scope was the holdup for fleet is not supported and an outright lie to deceive and divide members. Sad.

oil at $66/bbl today? saudis pumping, world demand softening, usa oil rig count at 3 1/2 year high..will we see $60/bbl before $70/bbl?
