American Airlines and Labor Negotiations

because the mediators obviously have seen our offer and realize its a goodie. If the lies by weez and 700 were really not lies and that we all were going to lose our work then you wouldnt see these encouraging signs from the mediators.
All I know is the reason we only got 2 days a month was the Union didn't want to move off their position and neither did the company, so we never really got anything done until we were put on ice in 2017. So when we finally got a T/A that AMFA did not want, they presented it accordingly , and it failed. So I guess we will get a better offer in 2019. You guys will come to a deal quicker than we did if both sides compromise on what they can live with.

Similar situations I'd say

I'm hopeful! Obviously, the mediators felt the company put forth a great offer. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been encouraged to set up many more dates and even conference calls. Once the IAM Pension can be put aside, I'm sure the progress will be rapid.

To reiterate the IAM Pension is not wanted by LAA.

The membership has no say. It's all in Alex Garcia's hands. He's the one calling the shots for us. The new Jim Little of the association. A fleet service guy negotiating for the thousands of association members.

So why was Gary Peterson also part of the meet and greet with the NMB Mediators if that’s the case?

Your agenda is going nowhere.

Don't worry guys, the word out from reliable union sources is that Alex Garcia is the only one talking to the company under meditated negotiations for both fleet service and aircraft maintenance. If anyone doubts this then go and verify it for yourselves. Don't waste your time denying it here. So where and what are the rest of the negotiators doing? Association letters are now not even signed and that was put into question a while back. Now we know it's a one man show.
I’d double check those sources.

LAA, last of the equity is in computershare now.

Is that the distribution from the disputed claims reserve?

What we will be getting from the held amount for the EBO suit will be coming in the mail starting November 7.

Weez my gross is $2175.00 with an issue date of today. Yes, checks in the mail Nov 7.

Oh ok. Computershare is telling you what that Gross check amount is for the held amounts.

Again don’t forget we’re still waiting for the Company to conclude all of their BK issues for what we will receive from their disputed claims reserves.

Few from the IAM want it as well. Sito is protecting United Airline interest and doesn't want to pile on additional risk for United so he is trying to stall. Looks like things are back on the upswing again though. This is the 3rd time that Sito has been a part of any upswing. The previous two times, everything was done and he flipped like a pancake and pulled back with the "Can't sign Fleet without MX" crap. But if he doesn't move after February, it will be easy for Trump's mediators to figure out and if we go on ice then that's going to make him look really really bad and could catapult AMP.

I wouldn’t say obviously but you could make a case for and surmise that the Mediators saw that progress “could” be made quickly on the outstanding issues and reacted accordingly by scheduling more dates.

Now obviously movement did even occur in that one day session as they were able to close out and TA a small few of those outstanding issues.

And the official Association update was encouraging this time rather than being emotionally confrontational.
Let the members vote and hopefully your goons will stop getting in the way of progress. Once a TA or proposal comes out, I'll mobilize and get out the yes vote.

I thought AA settled all that and the disputed claim reserves were part of this!?!?

Two separate issues. The disputed claims reserve will not even pass through the Union once it gets distributed. This distribution we are receiving now is the last of the monies held for the EBO suit.

The one many posters here said the TWU was going to steal BTW. (They didn’t after all)
