LUS has long been the mainline station .But since ?2013??) Ive seen more of our folks leaving than coming. In fact recently out of 6 new hire part timers 5 of them transferred out n that was just recently. Also ive heard theyre losing 1 breakroom 3 gates and possibly some flights. I think i can see a picture here whereas the company tries to keep less mainline flights..more express... For a year then come back and say..soo long ur station no longer gonna be mainline . Thats the type scenario i cld see mgmt pulling to circumvent the contract at same time stalling on any jcba while engaging talks w other groups. Its really a low down filthy arse but i would not ever put it past those stooges to do this type crap. N if they were to do it to bwi..then they cld try it at other cities... Just my 2 cents .
The LAA was Envoy few years ago .We were LUS mainline n stayed thru post merger .Youre right swa is king at BWI. They truly want all of C pier bec they want to add customs there for their flights

Yes sir I have pretty good seniority at DCA. Kev i believe its more of facilities related move bec SW definitely has been wanting the C pier for years. LAA was never big in BWI but DCA has been addibg flightsI'm obviously not there, but the stuff you listed sounds more like a facilities consolidation than anything else? We did the same sort of thing at every that both DL and NW flew to.
That said, I'm glad you landed on your feet in DC. Busy is good, and hopefully, your seniority goes a little farther there as well?
Np. To be honest AA has long been usin 738s to/from MIA. LAA has never been big in BWI. LUS on the D pier had more than adequate room for parking both airlines as well as remote for RON. The move in C pier is more of facilities related bec its well known SWA wants customs built for intl flights. DCA is adding flights here n there n while busy it makes time go byRobbed thanks for the info.
Maybe they brought LUS to LAA gates with the hopes that WN will want them and offer AA and BWI some concession to facilitate a future move. I know there are still a few daily 738s to MIA. MIA-IAD is ending soon as the company seems to be focusing solely on DCA.

"The current offshoring plan demands that TWU members agree to losing thousands of U.S.-based jobs in favor of cheaper foreign labor," he said. "Our members are vested in the safety and security of airline passengers and flight crews; contract workers are not. The partnership is designed to connect the stories of union members and the airline passengers they serve, according to Brian Parker, Strategic Action Coordinator for TWU Local 513.

Why would your Local or any Local flip the bill unless it isn't to break the Association constitution?The President of that Local gave a flimsy excuse last night on Facebook that was then refuted by Brian Parker. This played out publicly. Apparently this President does not agree with the direction of our Negotiators and believes we should relent towards the Company’s positions.
No it won’t be. It’s going to be a Media campaign and all the Locals except Local 568 contributed financially towards the campaign.
This is not an International campaign but a grass roots Local campaign.

jetnet told us the other day that jet fuel was at $1.78 a gallon...maybe .40-.50 cents lower than aa's & analysts' projections for the quarter? if jet fuel remains here, at the low end - could mean an additional $350-$400 million to q4's earnings, atop the expected $300-$400 million?
The truth remains, the members need to vote on the last best contract offer. It's time for your handlers to allow the members to vote. Everything else is BS.Airlines are holding fast with higher fares and fees even as fuel prices slide, which could be a good sign for the stocks.
