Can only share what information is received. Right.

It sounds like you are not going to try to change anything. That is disappointing especially after you have been repeating the same message about lack of communications and differences in expectations. Is it not important to you to try to change it after all this time? Are you ok with not even trying?

Not sure where you get the impression of not trying but the message to the Association has always been that they need more transparency and to share more information.

We've shared much more of our point of view than just about anyone else. The point where are should not be a surprise as it's been anticipated on these pages for months.

Even shared how having a Mediator participate in the talks would only be done as a precursor for Section 6, but that idea was scoffed at. Yet, here we are.

You stated that members were frustrated due to a lack of communications. I asked you a yes or nor question about whether you were going to try to change that. You did not give a yes or no reply. That leads me to believe you are not going to try to change the situation. I am listening if you would like to answer.

That was predictable.

The lack of information and the improper expectations has raised the frustration levels The official communications have been bad since the beginning, which has lead to too much speculation
The official communications have been awful from the Association. The official expectation that Alex Garcia established is that they expect LAA to get on the current LUS health insurance. Few believe that will happen, so many members see this is an unnecessary stall backing into section 6 which will invoke a process with a longer duration.
Obviously, the company has said that is a deal breaker and has canceled talks indefinitely but Alex doesn't have any other choice but to continue aligning with the IAM and kick the can down the road since Sito won't be giving up LUS health care for his MX whose support he needs in April 2019.

NYer is blackballed. The other MIA poster, who can't win a Local election, is the one getting information. The problem is that the other MIA poster just uses whatever information they want us to know for personal gain while trying to undermine the current elected leadership at the MIA Local. Politics suck.

Voicing the frustrations and telling the Association they need to be more transparent and share more information is trying to change things.

You have other suggestions?

Don't think anyone is getting inside information and if they are it seems to be wrong or just plain partisan.

At least I've been able to bring a different perspective and just the same old bullet points.

I asked if you were going to help change bad communication. You have not answered the question twice. I am trying to get an answer without disclosing your position in negotiations but you are making it terribly difficult to do. Now can we get an answer of whether you are planning working to improve the communication coming out of the negotiations process or not? Typing yes or no is a lot easier than going back and forth with long-winded answers that don't provide a clear answer right? I have heard a lot of good things about you and I don't understand the lack of clarity from someone who has complained about lack of clarity. I am asking that since you have been aware for a long time that the communication from the negotiating committee is lacking will you try to help change that? I know you cannot guarantee anything will change, but you can make more clarity a priority I would think. Maybe we can get a yes or no?

It's not a yes or no question.

If I was in charge of the communication, then yes.

If I had access to the information, then yes.

Unfortunately, we have neither, but we have and continue to advocate for the Association to share more information and in greater detail

I agree.

Prez or CB. If the talks end up in section 6 .How much leverage is there for the Assoc vs the company even with dp stating AA will never lose money again. Then fast fwd to 1st qtr earn they made a profit albeit not as high as it cld have

Did IAM/TWU sign a confidentiality agreement with management?

CWA/IBT did and hid behind it
of course. these guys are thugs. confidential agreements are a complete management ploy. only reason to fill them out is if the union got involved in stock etc. maybe the twu equity caused it.

for first time ever, iam pension is underfunded by $1 billion. In 2014 the iam cut our benefits in half to artificially boost the funding over 100%. over 3 years, it has sunk $1 billion+.
Maybe prez and mr baskett will have the grand lodge pension they enjoy at 120% funding to be used to help lil ole us out.
