I'm too lazy to look it up but lconcessions were givien for board seats and in some cases employee ownership but as you see there are only 4 airlines left so it didnt work.I was hired before Alfred Kahn or something like that did his thing load factors in the 60% and still made moneyAl did you hire on before Deregulation was signed?
I don’t think Labor having a few seats on an Airline’s BOD is what caused any concessions? And again both the IAM and ALPA have seats on UAL’s BOD.
- Signed into law by President Jimmy Carter on October 24, 1978.
We did have Convair props in mainlineI think Al hired on when you stood on a box and spun the prop

Same thing, you starting to sound like your friend.Today is ice cream day at LGA. an end of summer treat and you want me to attack no way Weez no way. They are paying me I'd rather attack the incompetant people Im payingI know he told me once that he hired on before they finished building the Empire State Building.
I doubt Board seats were given strictly because of concessions but I do recall that being as part of the result of them. Bankruptcy in particular usually changes the entire structure of a BOD.
September I believe. next week? I've been swamped in meetings today. I'll be doing my videos soon but not today. The pension cut was to broaden the umbrella to restrict participation due to a looming cut. The thought is that since everyone who retires with an almost minimum amount of retirement, that they would have to get another job cuz their retirement check will be peanuts. So to try to C Block people, they went ahead and made sure they would cover the pension by further expanding suspensions. Not good!Tim when does the retro clock begin .

I think it’s incompetent and stupid if I thought the way you do to continue to pay for a service I think is useless when I can also get at least a 12% raise on top of it.
Al I swear on my Mothers grave if I felt the way you do I would absolutely have applied to be a Manager.
Now I’m sure to get the typical Al retarded response right.
Al why are you not in Management?

the board seat becomes an even greater issue when a dude doesnt recuse himself off competitor negotiations. The IAM had a board seat at TWA. So much for their “clout” but we all know how well that worked out.
The unions represent a special class of shares which often come with different rights and obligations than seats held by common stockholders.
