Wonder if they are getting good packages??

i heard: 1 yr severance, health insurance for 1 yr, travel benefits.

apparently, they are done in my station with customer ops. only 1 let go on bloody thursday....and i know someone starting training as a csm tomorrow, so, no overall number loss. still have customer care, admin, tower, freight..etc...besides flight service, AMT, gse, etc., etc.

Quickest way to a contract.
Get rid of the ASSociation....

The Dallas morning news posted an article about flight attendants integrating on all flights. The article says the maintenance integration is years away since we have no JCBA. YEARS AWAY!!
I'm sure someone will post it, if not I'll see if I can get to it later.

"The last major integration milestone for the company is a combined technical operations platform to manage its maintenance program. That is still years away from completion, and will depend in part on a contract under negotiation between American and the unions representing 30,000 maintenance, fleet service and other workers, the only work groups that haven't struck a post-merger deal."

Our buyout offer should be nothing less but lets see what our association does

Not on the site, but add one for me to get rid of these clowns

121 to 12
ive now set up key committees in Dfw, phx, clt, phl. The best way to a contract is to dump the association by allowing people to vote on twu, iam, new union, or ass.

A Milestone Indeed.

Good luck. I wish you guys the best. It's obvious all groups are fed up at this point. I doubt you can vote TWU or IAM separately since the association is already representing us and the AFL-CIO has a no raid clause. Sounds confusing but some how the AFL-CIO will try to block it. Maybe IBT or CWA is a better choice.
It's a tough choice to make considering not many really good unions out there left.

?? so if the company says fleet buy-out is 1 year severance and travel, but no 1 yr. additional medical, you'd blame the assoc.?

i'm thinking it's relatively generous because they fear age discrimination lawsuits? take this nice package and leave or we'll come up with a legit reason to fire you with no $$ & benefits?

They used to offer the managers a position in say BGR or Green bay etc . Or a buyout

nobody is able to block it if I petition the nmb with sufficient showing to trigger. Yes, people will vote for twu. It is electronic and they only need to vote twu in write in (4th choice).

Im in charge.
