Interesting to see if the IAM stations are willing to give up representation from the Association and the IAM in lieu over the TWU. I know the IAM has the less expensive medical and the IAMPF might not survive from current negotiations. It's a different story on the Aircraft maintenance side. We are divided up because the IAM guys are not letting the medical and IAMPF go without a fight. That fight is also dragging the TWU guys along. That's the issues we have. I hope you guys do better.

you know this is much different. the company made public it's intention to streamline mngt. positions/eliminate redundancy.
the thing is we both agree that the number of supervisors is redundant. in my station, it's get rid of one on the ramp, bring someone new in.
must be a us air/america west thing. be careful and don't criticize lus.

Where is Weez? I wonder if he still thinks since oil breached $75 for the first time in years that it really doesn't matter as far as airlines go?
The new union will pledge to bring this nonsense to a vote with a thumbs up or thumbs down on the last best contract offer for fleet. Hopefully, we can wrap this up by Winter.

I think he is embarrassed as he predicted oil back down to $40 but it keeps creeping up $75.91 today, almost $10 more than when the company gave its last best offer.
Oh yea, i forgot, Weez said the price of oil has nothing to do with negotiations. Then again, he did claim Sister Peterson would deliver a solid contract last Christmas.

Eventually none of these Airlines are going to be able to find or hire people to work for less than $15 per hour. Because of that it’s going to become more cost effective to just bring the jobs back in House.

i'm not sure why you have coupled yourself to the higher oil = lost chance, assoc.'s fault, weaasles' fault.
pilots are coming up and they don't seem to believe (the ones i have spoken to) a card the company will pull out at negotiation time. the flip-side of the same card is that when oil is at $50/bbl, the company says we need to spend $$ on cap ex and have no money for you.
bottom line, the company doesn't want to share it's profits with us. profits at $5 billion a year or profits at $2 billion a year.
when the shale/frackers start rolling with improved infrastructure to increase flows to refineries, oil will go back down to where?
Ignore the man behind the curtain. I did a long time ago and yet he still tries to bait me down to his pathetic level. Just wait for his come back on this post.
