Funny, Donkey = ASSociation!
How’s AMP doing Metal? It’s such a secret Union that even the guys who started it forgot where they put it.
(One joke to another)

Excuse me Teamsters at SWA would do a contract in 3 years. AMFA will have us at 7. Did American Airlines ever go 7 years, or 6?So they get a pass for 5 years and not 6?
and the teamsters represented both carriers?
I REST MY CASE!
Correct sir.AMFA wasn’t allowed to have observers in mediation.
I personally dont care if you change unions or not. You might as well go for it if you feel that strongly. My feeling is all unions are the same so I will ask you how many AMTS does WN have per aircraft and how many does AA have? No sarcasm what makes you feel AMFA will be any better than the Association? Believe me I am no fan of the ass but I see AMFA guys at WN struggling to get a contract too
Unfortunately your craft union will not get you any better than what Parker will pay in benefits.Unfortunately you work for one of the cheapest major airlines when it comes to taking care of their mechanics.
I really hope you guys get your dream and kick the Association to the curb, even though I think that will not happen. However if by some meticulous alignment of the stars occurred. I would love to see you cursing them, when you go over 6 years to get a contract. Then I would ask you, what happen with your mechanics only union? At least they would be open and honest about negotiations...no bs back room crap, the TWU will sell us out, to protect their dues bankroll...

Must admit that is screwed up. So they either keep them or get rid of them.Hey driver I’m sorry but this little news item this morning does NOT paint a very nice picture of the IBT.
The majority of the members who chose to vote, voted no BUT the IBT passed the deal anyway???? Huh?????

Is that what they call Teamster Power?Must admit that is screwed up. So they either keep them or get rid of them.
Maybe they will do an AMFA drive.Must admit that is screwed up. So they either keep them or get rid of them.

I'm sure after what just happened at UPS they will listen to your Anti-AMFA bashing.
One thing for sure is that this is the lowest point for unions in the airlines. Thank you Teamsters. The Association is no angel. They will pull another fast one I'm sure in Mediation. They already forced themselves on the membership at AA and USAIR without a vote. That's just as bad as what the Teamsters just did at UPS. Did they really have a vote? Yes but it was just a formality. Very dissapointed.
Maybe this can shed some light on what is happening at UAL under the IBT.

Good thing they do not represent fleet service at American Airlines. Fleet would be outsourced without a vote. Similar to what the Association did to all of us at AA.And remember, it was the IBT that set the outsourcing % so high at SWA. Since firing the IBT at SWA our in house maint has grown the most in over 30 years.
