When was the last time AMFA opened an Office at a Major Airline involved in an organizing campaign and DID NOT file the cards with the NMB and Subsequently WON an Election?

I'm not really a history buff and don't care to spend my time getting into amfa's history (because there not much to it) so I will venture to guess never???

Hope you haven't signed a contract on that building. I would hate to see you guys out any more money than what you have already lost.

You know, I have often asked myself, after all of this is over and amfa leaves how I (just speaking of myself) would go about bringing about unity again in our union, but I thought it would be some interesting reading for everyone to see what you amfa boys might do to bring about unity. Anyone dare to make a comment? Or is that even in your thought processes? Just curious. . .

I think the first thing that has to happen is it needs to come to a vote. I would like to believe the everyone would support what ever the majority votes for.

Question is will the twu step aside and let us vote? or will they fight to the end against our right to choose who will represent us here at AA.

I appreciate the response Thrustful, but are you saying that we don't have the right to fight against a vote the way is amfa is fighting to get it to a vote?

If the NMB says there will be a vote then there is nothing we can do to stop that. What we are doing is attempting to keep it from going that far. Are you (amfa) condeming us for defending our union?

Hypocrisy walks a fine line sometimes. . .

If Gen. Patton had not read Field Marshall Romel’s book, or studied his adversary, things would have
been very different in North Africa WWII.
Don’t you think you are missing critical information if you have not spent some of your time studying
the AMFA’s short history?
If you were to seek out information and do a good comparison you may be less dismissive of the
AMFA or those whom support the change.

When asked, “What is it you don’t like about AMFA?†One of my co-workers response was simply this,
“EVERYTHING.†He could not nail down any one reason. I’ve tried to get him to read both sides to no
avail. He’ll stick with TWU till the end, and the end is coming soon. 🙂

No! I know all I care to know of amfa's history. I've gotten enough information to make a conscious decision.

Yes, I know, all you TWUers get you Propaganda from the 514, IAM, IBT and believe every word without question. Lots of people have suffered oppression because they would not question AUTHORITY.

Why you want amfa ?
Well I can tell you it’s NOT because of the Concessions! I made my decision over 3 years ago.
I asked who AMFA were. The answer I got was “read thisâ€. When finished comparing, I had more than
enough info to decide. MY ANSWER for you is… Opportunity knocked; I saw a better way of taking care of my family … DEMOCRACY TOP TO BOTTOM and Dedicated, professional Leadership.

Good for him? I don’t know, I seen some really sick, stubborn horses in the past.
BTW; I would lik to meet you one day. How about Saturday Feb. 21st 10am-6pm

Why do you want amfa in?

For a start look at the graph AA mechanics pay vs CPI. After seeing that why would you want to stay with the TWU?


I will venture to guess that you were hacked off at the twu for the concessions, right? Not because how good amfa is or what they have accomplished. What have they accomplished, what is their legacy??

Out here on the line, mechanics have wanted AMFA since they formed it. AMFA raised the bar to $35/hr in just one contract. In just one contract they did what the TWU could not do for over 20 years-they restored the wage. The irony of it all is that AMFA was formed due to the heavy handed intolerance of the TWU nearly 40 years ago but it was the more militant unions that fell to AMFA first. AMFA offers us the possibility of uniting as a craft across the industry. Hopefully we can work together with other workgroups as they seek to unite across the industry. We could never do that with the TWU. Even Sonny Hall admits that, he wrote; " our Lord himself may not be able to accomplish that goal".Never underestimate the Lords power, with his help we may prove Sonny wrong.

TWUer from what I am hearing AMFA will file for election on or before March 15 that is carved in stone, and is the reason that the AMFA office was opened for business to serve as a Headquarters for the election, I for one am glad to see this come to an election, after March 15 it will be up to every individual to vote for whatever organization that he thinks will do the best job and we will ALL have to live with whatever the MAJORITY decides much like the concession that is so much of a pain in my A!#

This will all be over very soon one way or the other 😀

Just remember the NMB has to make the call before a vote can even take place. You have to have enough cards to even file. But you know all of this. Do you think you have enough cards? Just a few weeks ago I think the vice pres of amfa was saying that there needed to be 2000 more cards before they could approach the NMB. Don't quote me on that, it is on the amfa web site I believe.

I too will be glad when it is over. We have the officer elections coming up as well and we need to focus our attention on that.

As for the invite to your hotdog party, I think I will pass. Don't think I would be welcomed by most in attendance.

Better concentrate on those cards, March is getting close and the twu and AA will seek Vengance immediately on all of us if this drive falls flat!
