I wonder how many f/a jobs this will affect over at AMR? Anyone? These are some tuff times and it seems like we just came out of the tunnel and here we all go again.

They have already told us that we will know in 4-6 weeks the exact a/c reductions, the destination eliminations, and the concomitant staff reductions. If it were a straight 12% ASM reduction = 12% f/a reduction, I would be toast (assuming no increase in attrition and no one taking the overage leaves of absence which contractually they are required to offer before they can furlough). However, the impact is hard to estimate at this point because the majority of the a/c grounded will be MD-80s which have the smallest minimum crew (3).

good luck go you over there, we are all in the same boat. throw a rock into the water and we all feel the ripple. I've been flying almost 10yrs and in that time Ive been through more down turns than up turns and I keep thinking that things are gonna get better soon and it will all be worth it. LOL I dont think DAL and NWA will be able to keep thier promises of no furloughs of frontline employees, so I am sure the furloughs will get to my level as well. It keeps life interesting.

Good luck to all of you as well. I grew up in BHM and flew Delta almost exclusively for years because they had the best service into/out of BHM.

Thanks for your support, Iwish we wouldn't have pulled so much out of DFW , We could use more people with your loyalty.
