AMR sees 4th-quarter mainline rev up 12.5-13.5 pct
WASHINGTON, Dec 22 (Reuters) - AMR Corp. (AMR.N: Quote, Profile, Research) , the parent company of American Airlines, on Thursday said it expects fourth-quarter revenue from its mainline business to be up 12.5 percent to 13.5 percent from a year earlier.
In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the company also said it expects consolidated revenue growth of 12.8 percent to 13.8 percent.
The company said it expects to end the quarter with a cash short-term investment balance of more than $4.0 billion, of which about $500 million is restricted, the filing said.
