Yesterday in CLT I saw a REALLY old woman in a U FA uniform. Looked to be about 75. ...Short, had blond hair with tons of hairspray and large pink-framed glasses.

She couldn't've been an active FA could she?

She is, I know who exactly you are talking about.

Big hair with lots of hairspray and huge glasses.

I was told that Carol C. had retired from Airways.... or maybe she will be this year...

She's probably the most senior FA in CLT... very professional though and very very nice (till you piss her off).

Ancient F/A Spotted in CLT is a bit like Airplane Spotted at Airport.

I think she has several pairs of glasses, in pink and white.

The most senior though, IIRC, is a Shuttle girl in DCA with a mid 1950's hire date. I'd have to check the seniority list in the hub. No idea who the oldest is. The youngest is 27, 24 when including the 170 Division.

She is retiring in December...actually taking the early out as she claims to be only 64. She is 1983 seniority as she is X-Braniff.

She is really just 25. Hard times in the Airline Industry have prematurely aged everyone.

Yep, most senior hire date is 1957. Gosh i couldn't imagine telling someone ive been flying since 1957. Someone once told me that Delta had a few flying from the 1950's...not sure if thats still true or not.

Do her glasses take up most of her face and are they square shaped?

OMG I know this f/a... obviously not personally but I used to see her all the time. One of my co-workers even asked her if she ever thought about retirement, gawd I felt bad for her she didnt know what to say and your right she's friendly as hell.

I have flown with Ms. C. She is a very nice person and a better F/A then many! She has 20 years with US and about 20 with Braniff.
She is extremely social and a very nice person

I have Know Mrs. C since starting with US Airways. One of the best F/A's we have out on line. No matter how much time has passed her memory of my family never has left her. She will always ask how we are doing and about my two dogs even though I have been furloughed for about a year and a half. I see less and lees of Mrs. C. when I non rev but it is always a joy when I do. I hope she enjoys her up coming retirement and hope to see her around CLT.
