richard you really need to shut this one down. there is entirely no truth to this at all. i just got some e-mails from people close to doug and doug was actually standing next to the person wheni e-mailed them about it. said that doug was actually amused by the rumors but that this isnot true at all. so lock it please. thank you

Hmmm I wonder why USAIR has so many problems. Doug standing next to people reading these threads. Further more he was amused by them. He better worry about other important matters. Shows you how the CEO spends his time.
he was not standing next to someone reading this thread . i e-mailed the person about the rumor . doug just happened to be standing next to the person i e-mailed. which was to their blackberry. so get it right. and he was amused because people talk alot of s#it without knowing anything. doesen't matter who it is.

A serious CEO wouldnt want to even look at a childish rumor. Bottom line is Usair has serious issues that doug will never fix. His greed will get usair nowhere. Further more your last statement didnt mention a blackberry. So dont try to tell people to get it right after the fact. Try emailing your friend thats close with doug and tell him that his airline is run like a circus in PHL. If he was a smart CEO he could make alot more money taking care of employees. The old saying is if its making money in his pocket dont fix it LOLOLOL.
Are you actually serious? Let's see - rumors of what will happen to pilots union, rumors about the contract, rumors about mergers/buyouts etc., rumors about pilot sick outs, rumors rumors rumors - seems like alot of them on this board.
This board is filled with unsubstantiated rumors - why did you decide this is the one that didn't belong on this board? I don't see anyone being named in the rumor - so everyone can make their own guess as to who it was referring to.

Now while some peoples rumor mongering is quite amusing, one would also have to wonder if Mr Parker's "Amusement" was due to rumor mongering or a complete disrespect of the law. One could easily argue the later given Mr Parker's familiarity with getting locked up multiple times even if only for an hour or a day. I for one am not sure I could respect my company's CEO if he's spent more time incarcerated than me
Maybe he was reminiscing about a weekend in the Maricopa County Women's Slammer.
