Another One To File

Northwest management would be absolute fools to let AMFA back in the door. Bring the mechanics back but leave AMFA on the other side of the fence to wither and die.

That seems to be Northwest's plan and it seems to be working, I think there will be some people coming back on the 13th.

If they do take it easy on them ok PTO cut them some slack.
crossing the line is harder for some than others. 🙁

According to PlaytheOdds the Game is Over.
How long are you going to keep posting Game Over?
Its becoming laughable. If the Game is Over why are you still working 12 hour shifts.
You keep holloring "Game Over" like a good management bootlicker and we'll keep working for the working man.
Miss home don't you SCAB?

It is called gloating proAMFA I have read your post and had 90% of you guys slamming me, and you just pounced on KTO and never even gave him a chance to debate his case. All you guys had to offer were insults and brag about how great AMFA is. Well as all of you union die-hards like to preach, "You reap what you sow.â€￾ Well get to reaping proAMFA because your union has broken down at the hands of us lowly worthless scum of the earth scabs. So what does that make you?

I think you can drop the third person references when referring to KTO as even the most clueless on the board know you are one and the same.

Also, how are you going to feel when AMFA mechs are back on the job at NW albeit not in the same numbers or at the same pay rate?

You've broken nothing. By definition a scab is temporary in nature, they exist to stop the immdediate threat of bleeding and then the disappear.

It was never NW management's intent to rid themselves of AMFA. NW has said all along the current cost structure of the airline would prevent it from continuing to be able to operate.

Remember Sun Tzu, to know thy enemy become thy enemy....or in other words keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Any NW Mechanics who cross the line are scabs as well right ?
They would not be temporary right ?

Do you see replacement workers and NW Mechanics crossing the line the same way or differently if so what is your view on that. ?

I don't think there will be a line to cross. Last I read there was a difference of 4 weeks in severance before the union thought they could have something to offer to members for a vote.

I'm sure there will be a last minute miracle deal. Question is whether membership would except it.

If they don't, they're gone and then NW can file BK and move on. If they do, NWA will file BK and have one less issue to deal with.

Wrong, AMFA has done such a great job for its members the severance has gone from 26 weeks to 10 weeks, man thats gotta hurt and the ones hurt the most are the custodians and cleaners. When the membership votes to accept it will that make them the "lap dogs of managment", as the replacement workers have been called?

After the 13th all AMTs that haven't crossed the line will be fired, unless you are telling me that AMFA is going to accept Northwest’s final offer.

Even the ones that cross the line are going to be expected to keep up with the new NWA mechs and do so nicely or they will be out the door immed. I dont know if they can keep up if they do come back, but the ones that can will have to play nice and get along and get rid of the chip on their shoulders, that is the one I think there is going to be the biggest problem for them to get over. I heard what AMFA hated the most was the open shop clause. No one will be stuffing ol' Delles pockets anymore.

If AMFA was "Dead" then why would NWA even bother to talk?

If things were going so well why not just keep things as they are?

For better or worse, they've still got an obligation to try and negotiate a settlement before asking to have the contract arbrogated. Now they've got documented proof of AMFA walking out of negotiations on multiple occasions.

I still think that they'd be better off staying at the table arguing over what admittedly appears to be an ever worsening pile of dog ####, as opposed to calling the company's bluff over permanent replacements.

Hey, news flash, AMFA is on strike. Both parties were released by the NMB and the company has already abrogated the contract.

If you are claiming that if they go BK then the contract is back in place then they would be nuts to give into the company's demands. In BK court AMFA could rightfully show that the demands from them are far in excess of what has been demanded from other groups on the property and extreme compared to industry standards. The conditions for abrogation would not be met.
