Considering I think I am living it, I think I would rather not see it in print. OH hell, why not.

I did not read the full article, but from what I can tell, it does not cover what changes there were to buying power. In other words, my "wages" may have gone up but if the cost of various items (Fuel, Electric... ) has gone up faster then I am still getting poorer. It did mention that inflation has gone up hire than wages but did not seem to delve into that.

And Yet another high ranking republican jumps off the sinking ship.

Click here to find out who.

And before any of the spitfires share their knee-jerk reaction, please consider the credentials of Senator Warner:

* Former chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee
* 5-term Senator
* Former secretary of the Navy
* Served in the Navy in World War II
* Served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff will advise Bush Jr. to reduce the U.S. force in Iraq next year by half.

Marine Gen. Peter Pace will convey concerns by the Joint Chiefs that keeping well in excess of 100,000 troops in Iraq through 2008 will severely strain the military, making the military's ability to respond to other threats difficult. This view is shared by Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates.

Hmmmm... so I wonder if Bush Jr. will, yet again, reject his own advice: "Whatever the commanders tell me about troop levels, that's what I'll do."

"Lily",

I thought I'd NEVER see Pace speak OUT AGAINST ..EL CHIMPO !!

His doing so.....speaks Volumes.

If I were a Republican(GOD FORBID), I would be (beyond) furious, over the ABYSS that EL CHIMPO is sinking the party into.

Warner-R/Va, is a perfect example of a "fence rider"(not to be confused with people like Snow/Collins(maine), or Hagle(nebraska), who are intelligent enough to recognize a BAD situation, when they see one), so for Warner to "recognize" that his "collar is too tight", also speaks VOLUMES.

BUTT "sniffers" like Cornyn-Tx/Sessions-Al. are predictable, But guys like Warner are TRUE thermometers of the present condition of the GOP.
(The "reading" indicates that "they"(GOP) have a FEVER )

uhhhhh....don't count your chickens just yet bears, the LA SLimes seems to have gotten it all wrong! 😱
