Ok, so this week starts another round of AA/TWU negotiations....This could very well be our last negotiating session as the local president's have already stated that they wil once again ask the mediator for a release. The compoany has made it clear that their last offer is the one they want.

So I say to everyone here, be prepared to possibly be put on ice....

One thing is for certain....The mediator will NOT release us.....

Unless, of course, the International takes over!

Maybe both sides will show up this week without their chest all puffed out and instead have their hats of reason on. Then maybe an agreement that can be ratified will be had.

Sorry to hear that. Been there/done that for the past few years.

It is sad to see that our negotiating process has become so politicized, and stacked in managements favor. The NMB has bought into AMR's argument that the 3 major work groups should be settled at different times, and we now have some sort of pecking order.

Management thought they had the mechanics in the bag a few months ago, until the vote didn't go their way. Looks like the pilots will have a TA to vote on within the next 3-4 months. After that, I don't know who will be next. Looks like if you vote no you get punished by the NMB and they put you on ice for a while why they try to deal with other disgruntled employee groups.

If we get released, what are the reasons we are looking to walk, for pay and benefits? or so some don't have to work weekends? Theres a lot of haze in the big picture. Good Luck

Move some of that money around again drop the signing bonus (because that isn't retro) build up the shift pay. keep cc pay where its at.

<_< ------- Informer, I'll tell you what you all should already know, "Hope for the best, but be prepared for the worst!" But I really don't think this Union, or membership, has what it takes to get the job done. --------Again, just one man's opinion!

AA will probably come out with a new extra regressive offer and the unbiased (lol) mediator will say "Now that is progress!). We are unfortunately in a corrupt system with a corrupt company, a corrupt bureaucrat, and a corrupt international.
