AMR Corp. says subpoenaed in air cargo probe

WASHINGTON, Feb 14 (Reuters) - American Airlines (AMR.N: Quote, Profile, Research) has been subpoenaed by Justice Department investigators in a transatlantic antitrust probe, the carrier said on Tuesday.

Earlier on Tuesday U.S. and European Commission officials said they were investigating possible anti-competitive behavior in the air cargo industry.

No. 1 carrier American said it has not been told that it is a target of the investigation and has not received a search warrant, like some other carriers.

"American intends to cooperate fully with the DOJ's investigation," said Tim Wagner, an airline spokesman.
