"I will fight this to the end" & "I take full responsibility for what has happened to the TWA flight attendants".

Two of my favorite quotes from Sherry Cooper.

I received my voting ballot this week in the mail. Low and behold - - no Sherry Cooper on the ballot.

So she is not entitled to a life? Guess what there are others who are qualified and capable. Just because she is not running for the BOD does not mean she is not working for what she believes in. If you feel you could do more and better, lets get your name on a ballot.

Its so frustrating to listen to flight attendants complain about others not doing enough. If you have time to complain you have time to run and hold office.

However, Mike, in this case, there is a valid point. The current APFA "representation" at SLT amounts to this...

Ms. Cooper has NEVER returned a call of mine. Greg takes a minimum of a week to respond.

I am amazed that the APFA has never negotiated full time rep positions.

If I implied that Sherry Cooper is not doing enough, I am sorry that you misunderstood my statement.

Sherry Cooper is doing absolutely nothing. And Greg continues to do nothing.

Enough said.

Nancy, technically they are full-time. Well, if you go by salary paid by the APFA. Per the LM-2 for 2006, Greg was paid $51, 280 in wages and expenses for 2006. That sounds like a full-time job--or, should be--to me.

We had 20 full time positions for 5000 f/as paid by the Co. 85 hours at your position. Since we had cross utilization, and I was a FSM (Purser), I was paid at Intn. FSM rates. The union paid an over-ride of 4 hours until the IAM took over and then it went to 100 hours. As for your current representation, no comment. I sense a change in the air. Hopefully, a strong, experienced team, with an inclusionary mind set will be elected.

I forgot to add to my last post...

Vote Dixie Daniels and Tim Hunter! Yeah, team.

This is only a question, so don't get all bent out of shape. If the new reps aren't recalled by June-July 08, will there be a new election or are they still allowed to complete their terms of office?

Jim, maybe Greg has another job and doesn't have time to call you back immediately. I would after what they have gone through. Basically double pay for the year. Getting a little back for the grief.

The issue has never come up so it is my understanding that the APFA doesn't have an answer. The APFA uses ex members in many ways, ex. Patt Gibbs so it will be interesting how this will be handled. July '08 is a long time in airline "time" and there is going to be a point that AA is going to have to acknowledge the "shared sacrifice" of over $600,000,000 contributed by the furloughed f/as. Depending on the results of this election, things could get interesting. With one slate there is an experience level and commitment to inclusion that has not been experienced in the previous representatives. I think if they win, the SLT f/as, the furloughed f/as will both be well served.

Sorry, but when I grossed less than $30k last year from this job, and he collected over $50,000 from dues money paid by me and others, I expect less than 1 week response to calls--particularly when it involves contract issues.

And, don't anyone start on the "you knew what the job paid, etc" jag. That is not the point, and you know it. I am more than happy to do my job for what I am paid. He should do the same.

I have great hopes that you'll experience a different level of representation. There is no excuse for that response time. Now, Jim, you know I just HAVE to say, "Why didn't you run?" Just teasing.

The TWU never negotiated them but the company pays 21 local presidents and E-boards such as Dallas full company pay while they dont even report for work at AA. Its a violation of both the RLA and the LMRDA but they do it anyway.

As I told Willie when he asked me to run...I strongly believe that the APFA Base Chair and Vice Chair should live in St. Louis or nearby. To cut Greg a little slack, the fact that he lives in Atlanta precludes immediate response to every situation. I fail to see how me living in Dallas would greatly improve that situation.

Bob, you keep making that claim, yet there's never been any action taken when you've reported it to various people. Did it ever occur to you that perhaps you're wrong in your accusation?...
