CURRENT EAST CONTRACT....contract page 30-3. Jumpseat is EXCLUSIVELY FOR FLIGHT ATTENDANTS ONLY.
You may have a misconception here.
Cabin jumpseats being available to the pilots on the West is not contractual.
I kind of like the idea of the pilots going to negotiations and asking for a contractual statement of use for the CABIN jumpseat. The company will of course say no can do, we already gave exclusive rights to the F/As, at which time the pilots will reply, well you should have asked us first, but we will settle for unlimited SA1P non-rev priority.
Be very careful before involving yourself in an illegal work action? You'll notice that Ms Wells has kept a very low profile since the incident - seems that she got the message...And the lesson form management to the pilot group is
Hooray !!!!Nice thinking, but:
#1) Look who's negotiating for us.
#2) The company will just respond, "Heh, the flight attendants were willing to negotiate, they came to the table, first come, first served. You guys were too busy sitting in the corner (wearing diapers) kicking, screaming, and crying."
...an injunction. And the lesson form management to the pilot group is

unlimited SA1P non-rev priority for everybody
Well this is just to stupid of a question to even answer. Sorry if you can't see the difference between the cockpit and the cabinChange the "ops specs" and the flight attendant jumpseat is not in the so call "ops specs”?
Yes, it is the flight attendant jumpseat. On the west side we are allowed to ride on it only if there is not a non-revving flight attendant using it. Flight attendants have priority. I will also add that any time I've seen it used the fight attendants were asked if it was OK if a pilot sat there. We don't just hop on and assume we can sit there.
As for flight attendants in the cockpit, as mentioned by others, we have no say. That is an FAA rule, and it doesn't matter what we say or put in our contract, the FAA says no, sorry. Being mean and taking it out on pilots won't change the rule, because we have no say in the matter.
So you are saying the so call "ops specs" cannot be change so employees with direct involvement with flight operations can ride the cockpit jump seat on a limited basesWell this is just to stupid of a question to even answer. Sorry if you can't see the difference between the cockpit and the cabin
As if you guys don't have enough to belly ache over....no you can't ride our jumpseat....No means No. Get over it.............
