What's new

Arizana Republic Article

"He admits that the string of recent problems has customers and employees thinking, "There's something fundamentally wrong here."
But he said he doesn't believe the airline's problems are chronic or widespread, given that two of the three major recent issues were weather-related and that the computer problem is "getting better every single day."
He doesn't foresee the need for any wholesale changes and said he believes the worst is behind the airline.

"Our challenge right now is making sure what it is and what it isn't," he said. "What it is is an unacceptable level of service that we've been giving to people. What it isn't is something that isn't going to get fixed."

What needs to get fixed is fundmentally flawed software that fixit patches will not solve. It may have fudged itself through for AWA but it does not address the challenges of a system of this magnitude. B)

If you read the comments at the bottom of the article it appears there are a whole bunch of people, employees and customers, saying this company is screwing up. In addition to the ones in this forum.

Maybe the apologists should be spreading their wings (and manure) elsewhere. I am sure there aren't enough of you to limit your influence to just here.

"Parker said US Airways hasn't seen an exodus of frequent fliers. He said the combined airline saw an increase, not a decrease, in the ranks of its top-level frequent fliers last year from the year before..."

How blatantly misleading.

In 2006 there was an increase in CPs from 2005 due to TRAVEL IN 2005. He wants the reader to infer that frequent flyers are flocking to the airline. He knows the exodus began in 2006 based on dramatic decreases in elite passengers as of March 1, 2007. That is even with the tactic or error that conferred US3 or US4 status to passengers who may not have even flown on the airline in 2006.

A single comment like this can be the basis for a successful shareholder lawsuit, when it is proven incorrect.

US Airways has had its ups and downs of late, but overall has shown improvement

US Airways has been in the national news so much lately, with most of it being of the negative variety, that it’s probably hard to remember our new-and-improved hometown airline has enjoyed more success than disappointment in the past year.

Dont all get crazy this is not my view just posting another article.

Bad, BAD Airline!

You left a smelly pile of misrouted bags on the rec room carpet!

Ought to be whacked on the snout with a rolled-up newspaper.

But like most dogs, they'll crap in the rec room again when you leave the next time... just for spite. For some reason, they want wacked with that newspaper again and again.
