Got a email from an airport worker and was shocked to hear this news reoprt!

"A us airways worker in ORD got arrested because of an altercation with a woman manager at chillis restaurant. he allegedly to ridiculusly loud and after he was screaming, he alledgedly hit the woman and bashed her face in and was immediately arrested.

Wonder how much US AIRWAYS will have to settle out of court because of a lawsuit of one of its employees alledgedly beating up the chillis woman manager. This is ridiculus, who is US AIRWAYS hiring nowadays? Maybe that's why they call ORD 'little philly'.

Anyone got anymore information on this?

Just because the restaurant sucks doesn't mean you can bash anyone's head in...

By following that logic I should be able to bash us airways in every time I wait 25 minutes for something like r e l i a b l e transportation?

I'm sorry to hear the woman got her noggin bashed and even sorrier to hear that an us airways employee did this...How embarrassing for the hard working employees of us airways.

i never said anything about the lady gettin her ass kicked by one of our gorillas.

I just think that restaurant needs a lil bit of help!

I think all restaurants in O'Hare needs help...It's always a LONG wait no matter what the time of day is...They under-staff just like any company.

It probably didn't help that it was at an UAX terminal 😉

I dont see where US Airways would be doing anything in court over this. If the person who did this was on their lunch, then they were off the clock. Even if they were on the clock, unless someone at US told him to go do it and he was following his sups orders, US has nothing to do with this other than employing the person. I dont know of anyones employers having to pay up for their employees actions unless specifically told to do so by the company.

Sounds like another example of the quality employees you can get at $9/hour.

Why go to Chilis?

I had some good Greek food just farther down the terminal a few months ago. Locally owned non-chain joint.

Now that's the place to buy your lunch at 🙂

ORD must be getting kinda rough... I heard a story a couple of months ago from a F/A about a pilot and a gate agent getting into a loud argument the fwd galley, swearing at each other in front of a full 737. Then a rampie came up and told the pilot to step onto the jetway like a man and fight, and called him a f*****g pu...(not a kitty cat but a...) while the pilot flipped him off, all in full view of the customers. Lead F/A threatened to walk off the airplane, another one began crying. Flight was full and had several non-revs from other airlines.

Class!

Wow, bashing one's head in is pretty bad. Notice the word 'punched' or 'boxed' was not used, rather "bashed her head in"... jesus!

What will be ridiculus is when the guys Union goes to "REPRESENT" for him and try and get his job back!

How do you know he wasn't management?

We only did that to Allegheny pilots when there was no one around, and they had done something dangerous that could have killed a passenger. Amazing how fast those guys can run...

As a rather frequent passenger on Eastern in the last year I saw various and sundry similar instances.

The employees at US/HP have no idea how close they are to closing the doors, not because of money but, as always, because the employees will walk away.

Figures. Chicago is not much different from New York, just further west, less big, and colder in the winter. The state laws, the "integrity" (sic) of the police, and the attitude of the people is the same -- crap, crappy and crap-tastic.
