AS express operator Horizon is dropping PRC on 12/17 and FLG on 1/1/2010. US should restart PRC once again and keep it this time. They operated it with AirMidwest (to PHX, LAS and Kingman) until that airline ceased to exist. I'm sure they could run a Dash or two daily and time it properly with the major connecting banks at PHX. Truth is, US at PHX offers more connecting opportunities than AS at LAX does. In addition, PRC is an EAS market so they would get some funding from the government.
It's also interesting that FLG gets 5 flights per day from PHX and YUM gets 6 (2 are served with a CRJ instead of Dash 8). Why can't they do 1 or 2 flight to PRC?
PRC still has Great Lakes Service to ONT, FMN and DEN (though I have yet to find a DEN flight).
