It's so funny to read the AJC blog. "Delta should not allow this" or "Delta employees should not allow this to happen". I guess no one in the self-proclaimed capital of the South realizes that it's the creditors and bankruptcy court that decide the fate of their precious carrier.

Anyway, US Airways is the bad, ugly airline that has the worst service. Sure we aren't looking at the Pittsburgh Tribune?

US Crew, You have been all over the board and making me laugh! Loving the Sand Yankee bit! I think we are all a little shell shocked and it will take a while to sink in. Its alot of fun seeing former HP and US employees starting to ban together during this possible merger. I dont know if its a union vs nonunion thing or we've finally decided the US/HP merger was the right thing to do but its nice to feel like 1 company for a change. Not east vs west. It really does feel like Doug brought this out to the public to make Delta's managment team squirm. I didnt think this was his style, from what I know of him and have seen, this is totally out of character for him. He's come across as a really laid back exec. Im seeing a whole new side of Doug. Actually, I like it. I dont know enough to project what is going to happen and didnt think the HP/US merger was easy to deal with and frankly, I dont want to deal with this but we'll just take 1 day at a time...

I think that Delta is a very fine airline going through a tough time. Unfortunately, I don't think that the feeling is mutual as evidenced by comments about us like....second-tier airline, trailer-park, US-Scare, etc...It will be a painful merger.
